Kasper 7 not a lot to do today, but a great save when we were 1-0 down kept us in the game.

Simpson 3 awful game, just no clue what to do when he has the ball.

Morgan 6 a couple of times looked like age was catching up with him. Could have done better  for the goal, redeemed himself with a couple of good blocks.

Maguire 7 his usual commanding self

Chillwell 7 could have done better for the goal we conceded but I thought he got better and better as the game went on and grabbed himself an assist with a great ball.

Gray 4 lots of huff and puff no end product and no tracking back. Looks short on confidence.

Ndidi 7 beast mode

Iborra 8 MotM his composure is what has been missing. Welcome back

Mahrez 8 great assist for Vardy very well taken goal- will be missed next season.

Okazaki-6 great to have him back and chasing looked short of match fitness

Vardy 7 great finish pure class

Abrighton 6 much better option than Gray

Nacho Man 7 can't do much more from the bench than a goal and an assist would love him to start more

All 6s and 7s for me.

7s for Maguire, Iborra, Mahrez, Vardy, Nacho. The rest 6.

We were pretty standard they were utter garbage, except for Burke and Rondon. How Livermore is considered for England I have no idea.

The difference between that and recent games against Bournemouth, Stoke, Swansea etc was that outrageous goal from Vardy and the lack of fight from West Brom. Iborra looked like an upgrade on James but against a lightweight midfield. Chilwell and Gray were too exposed on the left. It needs to be Chilwell and Albrighton or Fuchs and Gray to give balance.

7 for Puel for bringing on Nacho and Albrighton at the right time, and stay.

3?

Can't remember a time when he was beaten. Solid game, just like all the defence and all of the team really.

What about the time Morgan won the ball back with a good tackle passed to simpson and he tried to make simple pass and put the ball out for a corner?

On the ball he was nothing short of dreadful.

How anyone could give Simpson a 3, yet Chilwell a 7 is just bizarre - he had an absolute shocker!

Chilwell made one mistake and was punished, he then provided a goal for us at the other end and created a couple of other decent chances.

Just happens that they didn't score from one of Simpsons bounteous errors on the ball.

Kasper 7

Simpson 5 complete lack of creativity and I think a positional liability at times

Morgan 5 at fault for Robson goal too slow now and panicky

Ndidi 7 hope he cements partnership with Iborra

Iborra 7 a bit one paced but great presence probably our best airial threat also

Grey 5 poor

Mahrez 9 utter class how can we replace him

Shinji 6 not his best

Puel 8 much better tactics but Baggies poor and why do players e.g. Silva who are dropped disappear off the bench

Thought they were both disappointing myself. Shame the poll can't split the votes from those that actually went and those that streamed or listened to the game. Might make interesting reading.

I could pick little parts out of every performance. One bad pass and you're giving him a three? Harsh. Iborra passed the ball straight out of play at one time and how about Morgan being bullied first 20 mins by Rondon, including Rondon getting across him to score?

One example of what I was talking about, I thought that was consistent throughout the game. It's a game of opinions but I thought Simpson was very poor. I agree it's your comments about Morgan, hence my original comment about his performance.

Very true, which is why it's so good and why forums are so good.

Yeah no crosses from Simpson but then he didn’t cost us a goal. On the other hand Chilwell did cost us a goal (again) and apart from one decent cross he fluffed every other chance to get the ball over!  Yet Simpson gets a 3 and Chilwell gets a 7? errrr okay

I agree both were poor, just couldn’t see why the huge difference, but like you said I suppose we all see different things ( apart from people who listen on the radio who are only getting what Radio Leicester tell them).

But you didn’t need to be in the ground to see that Chilwell was poor.

I've learn't never to take the ratings too seriously they're full of emotion and bias.

They also depend so much on where and how you view the game.

I've watched a game live and then watched a recorded version from the opposite side of the pitch and it changed my views quite significantly on some player

Was there amongst the opposition fans for what it's worth and gave them the same mark. Ben Chilwell's last ditch karate kick effort that resulted in their goal was both ridiculous and needless though for my money. He also got lucky and almost made another suicide backwards pass just in front of me that most people wouldn't have seen . Will be a decent player if he improves his decision making.

Chilwell was beaten once by Burke. Burke then went over the other side and tormented Simpson beating him all ends up many times. Worse than that Simpson kept running into the attacking half and doing what he always does nothing. Simpson was our worst player yesterday. Morgan also gave a stodgy performance and again he insisted on running into the attacking half. That pass and overlap was just embarrassing. If Morgan and Simpson are playing they should concentrate on defending. Preferably they shouldn't be playing. Dragovic and anyone are far better.

Think you’re missing the point. Agreed Simpson was poor - just that Chilwell was too and anyone suggesting he had a "7-Good” game yesterday is having a laugh.

I agree with those ratings (and comments), but I would add:-

Maguire 7 as strong as ever

Chilwell 6 so good at going forward, but still naive in defence. Entirely at fault for the Albion goal

Vardy 8 don't EVER sell him, without him (whatever formation we play) we'd be lost. To agree with Lampard on MotD, without doubt he has scored the Goal of the Season

Albrighton 7 SO much better than Gray, although he can never be a wingback (as has been proved in the last few games), he brings so much to our attack

Iheanacho 7 although only on for 15 mins, he completely changed the game for us. Some sublime touches

Diabate 6 on for only a few minutes, but had a wonderful run and cross

Yesterday was like a training game for Simpson with Mahrez and co trying to teach him what to do in the final third. Almost encouraging him forwards with balls played in front of him. He was still useless in their third but he has years of conditioning to go against.

Chilwell was a lot more effective going forwards, he got caught once early but that happens in football, it is full of little duels and you don’t win all of them. Burke is a good player and I think it all came from giving away possession a quick ball forwards and us not being set.

I gave both Chilwell and Simpson a 6 they weren’t shite and they weren’t great.

Kasper - Cracking save to keep it 1-0.  Not much to do after that.  Did come for a cross though, dropped it I think!                                     7

Simpson - Overlapped well but doesn’t have the ability to deliver crucial final ball.  Amartey will breeze back in when fit.                             5

Morgan - Too slow, backs off and gets himself into trouble or crudely fouls.  Thanks for everything Wes, Claud time to move on.                5

Maguire - Another solid display.                                                                                                                                                                         7

Chilwell - His best game for a while but still not a confident enough defender.  At fault for the goal.  Good cross for his first ever assist.     5

Mahrez - Proved he is worth even the craziest of transfer fees.  Class passing, dribbling, good assist and great goal!                                  8

Ndidi - Hasn’t been hitting his high standards of late but solid today against poor opposition.  Looks better partnered with Iborra.             7

Iborra - Showed great composure, range of passing and good in the air in both boxes.  Class act and must retain his place.                      8

Gray - Not his worst performance, got into some useful positions but final ball still lacking in quality.                                                            6

Okazaki - Ineffective, probably not fit, but Vardy just looks more dangerous with him in the side.                                                                   5

Vardy - World Class finish, should have had more.                                                                                                                                            7

Subs

Ieanacho - Best prem performance in a City shirt, changed the game with great movement, passing, and a goal.                                         8

Albrighton - Good corner, solid performance.                                                                                                                                                    6

Diabete - Lively 5 minutes.  Put one on a plate for Vardy, would like to see him start over Gray                                                                      7

Puel - More attacking starting line up and better substitutions today.  Not convinced he knows his best team yet.  Squad in and outs are confusing.       5

Opposition - Lets not get too carried away with a 4-1 win.  They are what the table suggests, the worse team in the league.  Very poor.                            3

Puel  - 8 He's doing quite well to get the team spirit back to the levels of 2015/16, particularly after the Mahrez fiasco,  and must be getting to the stage where he knows what his best team is...although it doesn't coincide with mine.

Scmeichel - 7 Did nothing wrong....or spectacular, steady game.

Simpson - 6 Steady game, he's the best right side defender we have available in the current squad, I'd prefer to see Amartey playing there I hope he gets fit sooner rather than later.

Morgan -  6 Older and slowing shares responsibility of the WBA goal with Chilwell, but he still has a few tricks up his sleeve and is still the club Captain, I'd prefer to see Dragovich , especially if it's our intention is to buy him.

Maguire - 7 Best bit of transfer business last Summer, hope to goodness he stays with us.

Chilwell - 6 Apart from his dreadful positioning for WBA's goal he had a steady game and an assist for Iheanacho's first PL goal for the club. Think it may have been Chilly's first assist too.

Mahrez - 9.1 Whilst he isn't my favourite person right now, he oozes class and his contribution of a goal, an assist and some magical touches nearly made him Man of the Match.

Ndidi - 8 Very solid game, another player who is pivotal as to where we're heading next year.

Iborra - 9.2 My Man of the Match, Commanding in the middle of the park and showed he has a good "footballing Brain" with his distribution, and holding of the ball. He is one of the few that knows how to use the possession we're getting. Great to see him get the goal...from a corner....I feel I must write that again....from a corner.

Gray - 5 Still waiting for him to show something at the end of every possession he gets, hopefully will mature into a useful TEAM player, but I'm unsure how much time we'll be prepared to give him.

Okazaki - 7 Just being in the team seems to give us a massive lift, he's like having an attack Jack Russel in your team. Subbed at just about the right time, was running out of steam.

Vardy - 8 Fantastic goal, one disallowed and a couple of really good chances...he's just good at his job, and still lightening quick.

Albrighton (sub) - 6 As others have written, a better option than Gray in this game.

Iheanacho - 8 very effective substitution, he showed there's a bit more to his game than he'd previously done. Delighted to see him get an assist and his first PL goal.

Diabate - 6 Did enough in a short time to show that we've got a potentially gem on our hands. Looking forward to seeing a lot more of him.

Puel to Stay

Opposition Performance - 4 Poor

Match Officials -  5 Average
