Deffo getting this on pre-order. Some of my favourite gaming memories are with the Spyro franchise. Before Skylanders was a thing and turned it to shit, though.

Just a word of warning for those who have purchased the physical copy - you'll get Spyro 1 on disc but not 2 and 3, they must be downloaded.

 

It's not clear why but I'm wondering if it's due to insufficient disc space?

It's Activision. The motivation behind this will be a financial one somewhere.

The physical version doesn't have all the content available, and people are complaining about having to download the remaining levels from the second and third games.

Sure - not really much different to doing the usual initial download/install though, takes ages for some games!

Playing it now. I only really properly played year of the dragon when I was a kid but I'll play through the others afterwards. Really like it so far. Pretty much everything I hoped it would be.
