Maybe it’s me but I noticed over several seasons how Man Utd start their mind game this year it’s our turn. We all know that they have showed a lot of interest in Harry Maguire and could have put a bid in for him anytime but no they will wait until the last possible second to place that bid. They link themselves with other causing as much unrest as possible in the lead up to the final day.

1/ If thinking’s go well for them they get the player and leave us with no time to replace him thus affecting the morale of our team one before we play them.

2/ if bid is turned down them it could still lead to unrest within the team and may turn Maguire’s head for a period of time.

In fairness ManU are not the only ones that do this Spurs will do the same tomorrow to someone else.

Utd (Mourinho) do this all the time.  I don't think it's as effective now as it once was.  Mourinho will often single out one of the top players of an upcoming match and compliment them about how good they are, how they are players that he admires, how they are the type of player that he would really love to manage and how they would improve any squad they joined.

I remember Mourinho doing exactly this in our title winning season with Danny Drinkwater, but he does it frequently with any half decent team.  it's like water off a duck's back now.

he's past his sell by data and anything he says has little impact now.

It’s part of being a top club.

Ferguson was the absolute master so it’s kind of been instilled into their club. In more recent times, Wenger, Mourinho and Benitez have all been advocates of mind games.

We cannot allow Jose to spoil the morels.  That's expensive grub.

Well Drinkwater got sent off that game, so maybe not a bad idea?

It's what big club managers do isn't it. I remember when Benitez tried to beat Fergie at it when they were both going for the title.

I think Puel's playing games. Saying Vardy and Mags won't be not part of the match day squad. I hope Jose has fell for it like most of our fans have.

Every team play games now and have for years. It first started with he passed a late fitness test.

Now with all the money clubs want every advantage they can get. And don't care how low they stoop.
