Same here. There will be some very rich people somewhere that can afford this. I hope he does raise a lot of money for the charity though, more money than i could afford to give!

It’s the same with the auctioned poppy shirts, again I would love to have one and would absolutely treasure it. I wish they would do it differently e.g. you buy a £5 lottery ticket for the shirt you want and they pick out of a hat. Would be a lot fairer.

I absolutely agree generally, but I can understand why the vardy’s have chosen to do it this way as organising a raffle in just a few days is likely to be a logistical nightmare and runs the risk of not raising as much because of the short turnaround time (which is the main point after all).

On a side note, does anyone know if all players get an executive box? I’m guessing not as there surely wouldn’t be enough, so I’m guessing Vardy just pays for one??

Rebekah has said that she understands the logic of a raffle but there is just not enough time for the Burnley game. However, a possibility for the same fundraiser on a game later in the season.

Would be interesting to know how much these boxes go for in normal circumstances.

True but might not make as much money this way.

the players are asked if they want to buy a box for the upcoming season. (i assume on 'advantageous terms').  i know that some share and some don't take up the option for the season if they aren't sure they will be here for its entirety….

They have to pay for them if any become available. Matty James got rid of his in the summer and Ndidi & Iheanacho took it. I think it’s the last one next to where sky & bt sport present from near sk4.

The prices start from around £20,000 ranging up to £40,00 the more central you get. All that money and they still charge you for all the food and drink you get on a match day.

Vardy has one, Schmeichel has one, Iheanacho and Ndidi have a shared box. Fuchs had one last season but I don't think he renewed it for this season

if they did a £5 raffle, i guarantee that would raise more money than auctioning it off.   as has been pointed out, time is the factor re this saturday

Think it's £10,000-£15,000 but gets more expensive the more central you get. Vardy's is pretty much right in the centre I believe, or right next to.

is that the case this season ?  i often see his dad sitting in the directors box - unless his exec box doesn't have a good enough view of the game for peter.

@stansp - you wont get a box for 10/15k …………..

I don't know for sure - just based on what we were told when doing the tour a couple of seasons ago (around November 2 years ago actually).

Was also told by the tour guide it was a 15-year waiting list but also not sure how legit that is lol

Yes. I'll be up in that area for the Burnley game. There's a board on the wall in the corridor with the names of all the box holders. I'll get a picture of it. That way we can see for sure how many of the players have one.

They used to print the list of box holders in the match day program. They still might do actually!

Some of the boxes have names such as ‘Les ambasadeurs’ so it’s not clear exactly who has paid for them .....

enjoy your time on the third floor and don’t waste it behaving like a ‘stalker’ !! ?

Just e-mailed my £100 bid. Fingers crossed :fc:

Good luck ......... you might get a photo for that bid!  I expect that this will take around £1500, perhaps £2000+ to secure.  Box takes 12 people. If a company decides to bid then could be higher still.

I was only kidding :D

I reckon you're right, at least £2,000 would be my guess...
