You do have to wonder what the point is in getting excited about this competition. We'll be at an even more crucial stage of the league season if we reach the latter stages and Puel's played a weakened team in late knockout stages three times now.

League cup maybe (although I'd dispute Tuesday night being deliberately weakened rather than just missing two key players through injury) but the FA cup team was: Schmeichel Simpson Morgan Maguire Chilwell Mahrez Ndidi Iborra Albrighton Iheanacho Vardy That was full strength last season, be honest.

The Carabao Cup selection v Man City was a Joke... Due to the SF draw, we have a final in our hands, but no... Puel deserves sacking for just the other night.
