Talk of Pearson/ Shakespeare to Southampton.

Recommended Posts

A strong, loyal fan base, decent facilities.

It feels like the recruitment side is strong, but the owners appear to want to take some control over signing affairs etc - which Pearson etc may not be comfortable with.

He's been missing from a decent level of football for too long to walk back into the game at this level surely. They might be interested, but I wouldn't think Saints would be interested in them.

Why not?

Southampton may need some form of re-building process in order to prevent relegation from happening again (should they do get relegated this season, of course), and Pearson has been known for, certainly his time at LCFC - obviously, to do manage this type of situation effectively for sure.

Because it was a long time ago when it comes to football, he's also completely unproven without the full team behind him. We don't even know if Walsh is able to work, he could still be getting paid by Everton. I think Pearson is damaged goods now sadly as well. There would be lots of people ahead of him in the list IMO.

Pearson is being wasted in Belgium and to be honest he misses Shakespeare too much on side, neither are good enough on their own. I think Southampton could do a lost worse than Pearson, but I think they'll want somebody with more premier league experience. Due to the fact he only spent one season in the premier league last.

Yup..Then they go and chose someone with no PL experience...blows that logic out of the water..
