That contract might end up being our worst piece of business if he doesn’t pick up form

What's the excuse for him missing a one on one again this time?

Come on guy's the bloke came back from the World Cup injured, had a little or no preseason, then has been in and out due to suspension and further injury.

that's no excuse for some of his missed chances this season, we need him firing again and quickly.

See him fly once we get rid of Puel. He's literally turned him from a tiger into a kitten. Isolated, frustrated, doesn't run the channels, doesn't make it difficult for defenders, missing chances, lack of support.

Surprisingly his shooting accuracy this season is 57%, higher than he achieved in all his previous seasons (14/15-50%), (15/16-46%), (16/17-49%), (16/17-49%), you could argue either his been unlucky or he's hit the target but not being as clinical.

His finishing has been poor this season. It's definitely worrying.

I'd be more worried if he was fully fit had an easy summer and had no reason to be in poor form.

He could return to his best form, if he had another one in with him chasing those lost causes and producing some of their own luck.

Whilst Shinji cannot control a ball or stay on his feet for very long, he did that 'dog' role incredible well in THAT season, which allowed Vardy to stay on the line of the last man so many times.

I genuinely think Maddison shouldn't be playing in that role behind the striker.  I'd drop Papy, and play Maddison alongside N'Didi.
Play Shinji in behind, or Barnes if he comes back, and give Vardy that freedom to do what he does best.

Right now, he's too isolated - particularly when Maddion goes back way too deep and leaves a huge gap.  But I think he drops deep, because he knows Papy & N'Didi cannot pass a football.

A few slight adjustments and we could start to see the Vardy we know and love, and hopefully a few more goals.

Rather play Papy ahead of Ndidi. Wilf has been absolutely trash recently.

Vardy seriously needs to start finishing chances. He had one of the best conversion rates in the premier league up until this season. Don't know whats happening to be honest.

Fitness and confidence. He needs to nail one of those one on ones and then the pressure will be lifted. I think it was the Burnley match and one of his misses... everyone had already celebrated the goal before he hit it because it was Jamie Vardy... he never misses those.

Yeah those Low Driven Fifa Style shots into the bottom corner were a speciality of his during our title winning season. Needs to get back that composure in front of goal.

There’s no denying he’s getting more shots per game off, but he’s certainly not scoring them! Needs to change starting from tomorrow hopefully, can’t just rely on Maddison to come up with the goods.

Hopefully he will come good with a run of games, biggest worry if Vardy or Maddison don't score there isn't a lot else.

Hence we need similar amounts of investment into the attacking players as we have in terms of defence, were honestly not far off a great team.

If you look at West Ham's Anderson and Everton's with Richarlison, I think one player like that in our wide areas would transform the team.

I would like to see us buy a couple of flair wide players.

That’s certainly the calibre and price tags we’ll have to be looking at!

Only put him in because of his height.  I think they've both been below par recently.

No I reckon Papy has been a massive improvement considering he could have easily been shipped out like the rest of our flops. He's been on of our best players this season and I think the majority of the forum would agree. It seems they love him.

I thought it was worth sharing this image from the BBC. Jamie Vardy is the 5th top goal scorer of 2018 in the Premier League. For me that perfectly demonstrates how fortunate we are to have him at our club, a top class quality striker.

Play Vardy with another striker and he will be back to his best.

Play him as a lone striker he will not be at his best.

Vardy not hardy LOL

Think I agree with this. Him and Iheanacho linked really well at the back end of last season. MF 3 of Iborra, Mendy, Hamza (rest Ndidi) Maddison in front given freedom to drift wide and those 2 up top. Fullbacks with plenty of licence too.
