You must be extremely shortsighted to not see any progress. Yes, after winning the title we blew a load of money on "proven" talent that backfired mostly. Hiring Puel, I was underwhelmed at the time but I think he has done a good job building the team. Whether he is tactically stubborn/limited, I don't know, maybe there is room for improvement there.

 

But are we making progress? Of course we are, the team has been rebuilt and if you take yesterday's match, the starting XI probably had an average age of about 23/24 and we outplayed a Tottenham side who are 3rd in the league. Unfortunately, we didn't take our chances and ended up with 0 points.

 

If by progress you mean results only (points tally), then right now we have our work cut out to beat last season's tally. 15 points behind with 12 games left. However, looking at the squad we have got, this has potential for years of progression and who knows how far that can take us. A team cannot be rebuilt within weeks or even 1 or 2 transfer periods. Look how long it has taken Man Utd to rebuild post Fergie (and they're still working on it).
