I seem to remember the Mahrez money coming 3 installments and we might have taken a loan out on that too.

Player sales are based on the sale price at the time irrespective of when the cash is received.

Weren't any big sales in that accounting period was there? Schlupp is the only one I can think of at about 12m. Next accounts will include Mahrez and Musa sales.

Bloody hell, completely forgot Drinkwater existed.

"They also owe £68m of transfer fees to other clubs (up from £32m). In addition, £26m contingent liabilities potentially payable, dependent on player appearances and team success" :o

Basically in our current guise, the club needs to shift £38 million worth of player per year to make a profit.

nope ….

simplistically: t/o 159m,  wage bill + expenses: 120m

comfortably leaves us 30/35m to nett spend on players ….

I’m just going off the £38m profit off transfer figure

West Hams Matchday income almost double ours (25m v 13m), what a sickener taht they were gifted the capacity to do so whereas we need to spend a fortune in order to raise by "just" 8-10,000 more seats. I think it's been said once or twice before but it's an ongoing relevance and stinks.

That stood out for me too...

It’s a bit worrying isn’t it.

Hopefully we can develop our own talent with the new training facilities so we don’t have to resort to these kind of deals...

Also having a coach like Brendan around who puts emphasis on developing talent can only be a good thing.

Dread to think what kind of clauses Iheanacho, Ghezzal, Slimani etc have in their contracts... Let alone the wages... Going to be extremely difficult to move our long list of average players on...

As controversial as it is, maybe it’s best (for now) we target the players Brendan knows will fit his style... The McGregor’s, McGinn’s & Roberts of this world... Really don’t trust our recruitment team. One good window does not make up for all the atrocious deals we’ve done since 15/16..
