Filbert Street snaeaks onto this picture on the righthand side and so does the plot that will eventually become the Walkers Stadium and subseqently the King Power Stadium. The vast wood yard and commercial area on the left would be given over to housing

They do, it was me. I know I should get a life but it stuck out like a saw thumb when I read the article earlier.

I started going regularly as a kid in the 91/92 season. Must have watched the season review a thousand times.

 

The photo shows Paul Reid who only played a couple more games for us after this. We also had a new kit for the 92/93 season so wouldn't have been wearing the lovely Bukta shirt.

I wonder why players were always clean shaven in those days? When exactly did wearing stubble first become acceptable? Was it George Michael that made it the norm?

The thing that gets me when you see pictures like the above it the fact that nothing was done with it and it still sits as waste land (pretty much) to this day.
