A real shame they demolished this instead of moving it to the new site.

 

 

EG. They could have removed all the internal turnstile structure extended the sides and made a gateway to the stadium or to the memorial gardens.

From my recently rediscovered Leicester City FC scrapbook that I put together for the 70-71 promotion winning season. This match took place on February 6th 1971 at Filbert Street. The City players, left to right, are Len Glover, Bobby Kellard, Graham Cross and John Sjoberg. The match highlights were televised the next day on the Sunday afternoon as part of ATVs Star Soccer programme.
