We got through the group stage yesterday.

We play Rangers in the QF.

Out after extra time against Rangers, but possibly if I remember from previous years we go into another competition for the rest of the day with the other losing quarter finalists

There are continual losers competitions - becomes tough to understand who the real winners are!

We managed to lose to the local HK league team aswell , kitchee, but ended up in the best losers semi final and beat Brighton - could face wolves or Porto in that final.

Newcastle and West Ham are the prem sides that could make up the main final

Thought we drew with Kitchee 1-1 or have I missed another game? It's very confusing.

There’s no logic to this tournament!

Im sure you’re right looking at the semi line ups .....

not sure what I was looking at

anyway, we play wolves in the best losers final and Newcastle play rangers in the main final

It's quite simple actually. Here's a diagram that should help simplify the tournament.

Image result for confusing flowchart

It makes sense tbh, why fly teams out to Hong Kong and say you’re done after 3 games. This way everyone gets a full run out and the fans get to watch some premier league teams (yes it’s youth but it’s all they might get the chance to see)

Was exactly the same when I was a kid and we played on summer tournaments. Not as if this is a serious competition.

I seem to rememeber we sent Waghorn one year and we’d paid 3 mill for him ?

Pity we didn't get that far but Rangers looked up for it whereas we looked lethargic after a while. Ndukwu did his usual thing of looking by far the most skillful player on the pitch one minute and then looking bored the next. But he did have a good tournament. I'm slightly worried he comes across as a luxury player, however. I'm not sure how many Championship teams would want a luxury player from our academy especially one that isn't on the scoresheet overly often. Dewsbury-Hall looked excellent and commanding on in the first day but less so today. I think we could get him a Championship loan. I'm assuming Loft is here because our academy isn't producing strikers. Loft got on the scoresheet a few times and frankly looked better than Arlott-John. It was great to see Gyamfi on the scoresheet. He put in a great shift. He looks like he'll slot into our u23 RB position well. Luke Thomas for my money looked our best player. He wasn't overly flashy but looked very solid and very confident especially for a 17 year old. You can see why he's captained the England team. I reckon we could get him loaned out fairly soon.

Club seem to be pushing this loads on the social media etc.

Was there as much last season?

Although I guess this time of the season they don’t have a load of content about.

Maybe they're trying to adverise some of the players to clubs who may be interested in a loan
