I think it's a problem beyond Italy and football, the Italians are just less subtle and, arguably, less educated on the subject. Italians are certainly less 'used' to multiculturalism in the way that we are, and their politics has always been further to the right than our own, but we really aren't as far ahead of them as we'd like to think. There was a 43% increase of reported racism in UK football last season, whether that's down to us being more aware of it and therefore more comfortable in reporting or not, it doesn't make for comfortable reading.

Possibly at a number of clubs yes but there is arguably the strongest Left Wing ultras scene of any European county in Italy.

Not all people on the left are non racists, just the same as not all people on the right are racists. people are just people and they have their own beliefs, most people are dumb how ever.
