A close friend of mine is a Sunderland fan and when we first met the first thing we agreed upon was just how talented you were and if it hadn't been for the injuries you could have made it right to the top.

 

How have you dealt with the mental side of having to cut short your career due to injury?

How did the conversation go when he was told he was being sold to Sunderland? He’s said he didn’t want to leave but what convinced him, who had the conversation and what was he told would happen if he didn’t go.

How do you stop yourself kicking Stringer in the nads every week?

not got a question but he comes across as the soundest guy on twitter. looks to be a great dad and has been using this downtime to raise money for various charities. echoes what two family members who have met him have said about him. glad to have him associated with the club.

What advice would you, personally, give to those that are battling depression?

Ask him about the game where his dad was referee and something unpleasant kicked with an opponent

Interviewed Alan Young when he still worked with him and he said (without any question on the matter at all) 'I'd love to punch Ian Stringer in the face every weekend, and i nearly have on numerous occasions."

 

Can't imagine at all why he was let go from Radio Leicester.
