There was and is a ruling, but like many other rule Updates over the years, the authorities are not enforcing them & backing their own refs....

If you’re talking all sports, there is nothing more annoying in sport than a game of cricket being rained off all morning and then as rain disappears bad light stops play at 5. Really frustrating!
