We won the Championship - our one successful season of recent times - when this lad was absolutely nowhere near the side.

He was soundly rejected by two loan clubs when both were below us at the time because he wasn’t good enough.

Better offer him another 5 year contract.

2022/23 - relegated with Leicester

2023/24 - relegated with Sheffield United

2024/25 - relegated with Leicester

2025/26 - relegated with Leicester

Specialist in relegation.

Putrid player Luke Thomas is.

Him and Danny Ward deserve the worst.

And again this is Luke Thomas’s fault as he hires the managers doesn’t he?

Sorry mate but if I’m sh*t at work over the course of 6 years I don’t go and blame my manager. Heck in a normal job Luke would’ve been sacked by now. I’d take some accountability, look in the mirror and do something about it myself…

I could understand him going and seeing the manager if the set up of the team was wrong and it was leaving him overloaded 2 vs 1. I’m imagining Luke going to the manager and saying “Sorry gaffer I can’t kick a ball right footed, can’t tackle, am as weak as p*ss, am mostly immune to being able to play the ball forward and have the engine of a Nissan micra. Can you help me?”

I remember possibly 4/5 years ago we were having this debate about whether Thomas was good enough. The guy hasn’t improved whatsoever.

He has absolutely been a massive problem, have you seen him play the last three seasons?

Maybe football isn’t for you then mate. I’m sure if you go to any club some fans will have players they do not like or think they warrant a salary but will that stop them watching the team they support I’m not so sure?

Luke or Hamza do not pick the team they are here to do a job and are chosen to play, now I get you think there shit and that’s fine but remember this is the manager that picks the team not them. Despite the hate Luke has been picked by several managers with the exception of enzo but enzo doesn’t play a LB and bombed him out of Chelsea despite him being a regular England starter.

As I said before I’m not here to defend him that’s not my job that’s up to Luke to prove himself which he may never do in your eyes. If you think he’s Sunday league that’s fine but don’t hate on the lad that is being picked by his manager who watches them play every day.

Hopefully for you the Man City lad replaces him, I’m a Leicester fan and if he does and is better than Luke then that’s great for the club.

it definetly is for me. but for me at LCFC there is no point going to the ground and spending hard earned cash watching luke and hamza. youll see just as good at local sides around the county. its just how bad they are to what we are compensating them with. its not just this pair but a few within the squad. i love leicester city but im not wasting my life watching hamza waltz around the pitch thinking he owns the place and luke constantly turning back to play to the CBs.

like i say i dont go anymore. such a sad state to see us in but once the deadwood has gone, ill be back down

Well that when a decent manager or club recognises he's no good?

I've been about 3 times in the last few seasons, I can't pay to watch a team who don't care.

Strength of a cheesestring. Still playing three tiers above his level.

I think if we swapped  him with the Harborough  town left back it'd  be a vast improvement, for us not them.

I think you misunderstood.

The various mangers continue to pick him, they watch him play daily and they chose the side not Luke.

You think he’s shit along with many others and that’s fine but he continues to get picked and I get that must frustrate you but it is what it is.

If he gets replaced by the new lad then that’s great but if he doesn’t and the window closes are we just going o continually hammer not just Luke but many other senior pros? Again all I ask is what does this achieve, does this improve the toxic atmosphere?

I don’t know the full context but… if NASA offered me a job knowing full well I’m not capable of performing well, then went on to extend that contract after years of not performing well. It wouldn’t be my fault, nor would I forego any salary due to others incompetence (despite my own).

Hopefully this Man City guy is half decent and can make the left back spot his own... or maybe Woyo can actually do something.

I gave up on Luke Thomas about four managers ago, bemusing how many chances he gets. Best case scenario is he buckles down and improves significantly after losing his place, but I've not seen any evidence he is capable of improvement.

The man is 25 and we still treat him like a youth team player learning his trade. He's the same age Ricardo Pereira and Timothy Castagne were when we signed them.

He runs inside with the ball to stand about 3 yards away from Souttar, before passing the ball to Souttar.

He never hugs the touch line.

He doesn’t go forward.

He’s weak as shit.

He’s shorter than most of the stools I produce on 10mg Mounjaro.

Crap in the air.

Has that same cocky Hamza strut (where he can’t be arsed to pick his feet up when he ‘runs’)

And he’s a specialist in relegation failure.

I would stick my hands up and gladly say I think with a competent left back we wouldn’t have been relegated last season.

Genuinely.

Even with Ayew and Daka.

I'm sorry but as far as players are concerned he absolutely is!

We played 7 new guys on Saturday. 3 of the 4 from previous seasons were in the back four.  We need to play to the current players strengths until players arrive that can play this system. Just seen villa on MOTD. Made us look good. For villa all down to psr. Like us have to sell there best players to survive. I actually thought we played well second half without actually being threatening.  3 hard spine of the team players required and I think we'll do well.

All our opposition over those years have clearly, because the majority of attacks come down his flank, its not even close to think its 50/50 left or right attacks.  He gets singled out most games, and that is calculated.
