Whilst I agree with Gary that Wayne Mardle is indeed a numpty it does him no favours when he's this rattled.

 

He was unplayable a few years back and won pretty much everything when he was at his happiest and played darts for a bit of fun as he used to say, he needs to get that mindset back.

Chisnall has totally out scored MVG there. He’s been getting better as the tournament has gone on. He’s favourite to win it now for me.

Why do darts players make the post match look so awkward? Either weird hugs or fist pumps. They usually have a weird second and third go too.

From somebody who used to be part of a company that held Dart exhibitions around the country then believe me if he sounds pissed then he is pissed 

 

He used to be hammered when he turned up and it was the likes of Adrian Lewis, Kevin Painter, Gary Anderson etc who had to turn into big brother and look after him as best they could. 

 

Quite simply when walking around the crowd and and having pics etc he just does not have it in him to turn down a drink.... Its incredible how much he can put away tbf

Lol I would have thought it's the fact that most top sports stars, tennis players, footballers etc are usually young, good looking and incredible physical specimens so therefore very self confident and comfortable in their own skin.

 

Darts players however as a rule are fat, ugly, middle aged men who are naturally awkward.

Unbelievable standard this, as a normal who chucks a few darts for his local pub team I struggle to take it in how talented these boys are
