What a superb day of cricket to watch, went to Edgaston today with low expectations, told the wife I'd probably be home by 2pm and my god how wrong we all were.

 

Pakistan were superb, England's bowling was predictable and Pakistan got to grips with it fairly comfortably. Why on earth nobody seemed to bowl at the stumps on a consistent basis I'll never know, but the calm, steady score building of Shan and Babar and then the fireworks from Razaullah and Abbas meant they got to a score nobody would've believed at 10-59am this morning. 

 

England you expect will win pretty comfortably, but test cricket is alive and well folks!

He probably can't leave that one but Duckett fails again.

 

We will see the return of flat pitches over the next few years to stop these medium pacers causing so much trouble lol

I get the feeling Broad has a bit of a grudge against Robinson. Just listening to him talk about Robinson and its always 'yeah he's done well but....'

I don't disagree with him though in regards to the future if these pitches and trends continue.

Broad doesn't strike me as a popular dressing room man.

I'm going to be honest, but I agree with Stokes regarding Brook here. 

 

Most of the criticism he gets is utterly absurd considering he has a Test average in the top 10 England cricketers of all time, and does pretty damn well at the shorter formats too. 

 

Yes, sometimes he lacks brain in certain situations, but a lot of the flak he's taking goes beyond that imo.
