Sometimes you watch t20 and wonder why teams don’t just bowl 5 terrible part timers. Reminds me of the time Ackermann took 7-18 for the county.

I presume he must do a bit of bowling but yes seemed to be a moment of desperation!

I'm a Lancs fan and long time Livingstone sceptic but he's changed his game the last two seasons. He's become a genuine all-rounder and is much better as a proper middle order batter rather than a finisher. Not sure about his long term future in ODIs in but for T20Is I think he should be coming in at 5 and bowling as the backup or third spinner. He had a poor World Cup but so did most the squad, for which I'd place the blame firmly on Jos Buttler's captaincy.

Decent ending on the cards in Galle. New Zealand need 78 more with 3 wickets in hand. Would be another good win for the Lankans.

 

As for England, what do they expect when these players are playing 16.4 over cricket during the 50 over season ?
