Long live test cricket. Still the best format of the game IMHO

Definitely. A place for all of them but you just can't beat that seesaw change that can happen after 3/4 days of a tight game

Even if England force a win, this type of wicket can't be good for Test cricket. 4 days of total batting dominance. No wonder the crowd is so sparse.

Free entry on days 1, 2 and 4 as well. Not sure if the sub continent has ever had good crowds for test matches?

Missed most of today.  Genuine double take at that scorecard for the day...

I've not paid much attention to the match in general tbh. I just saw the headline score.

What the actual ****.

India does well l think, comparatively.

Scoreboard pressure at its finest. Would be a remarkable victory although Pakistan seriously struggle in their second innings at the moment.

First time a team has lost by an innings after posting a 1st innings score of over 500.

Superb start to the series, in one of the strangest test matches you’ll ever see. 1599 runs scored between both sides and only 3 innings played.

Didn't expect England's women to get knocked out of the world cup.

Intriguing start to the 2nd test against Pakistan though. Two big scores and an okay total. Can't work out what might be decent for them and what England will be happy to limiting them to.

Awful display - dropped 5 catches apparently.

The tail is wagging against us again .

India NZ looking like a washout on day 1. Forecast in Bangalore looks spicy the next few days as well, got to question the decision to put a test there at this time of year?

Saw on espn that it's 17 consecutive sessions washed out between NZ and India in tests!

In Root, Brook and Duckett, I’d say we have 3 of the best 5 batters in test cricket currently. Only others in the conversation are Jaiswal and Mendis.

Realistically I'd have Head over Duckett but overall agree.

This doesn't equate to consistently winning tests like Aus and India though, is our bowling that far behind?

Barring some heroics from Sri Lanka and/or a big old choke from Aus/India, it will be another Aus v india world test championship final.

Unfortunate the way the Ashes and the away series in India panned out, really. England on this form can easily match anyone except those two away from home, and even then it would be interesting.

Docked points for slow over rate has absolutely fvcked us as well.

Not overly optimistic for next round either considering it contains an away ashes series.

At home to Aus or India it's always a very close series. We have glimmers of hope away but invariably ends in getting walloped
