Only put this on here coz some of the posters might be going:

 

Really hoping to go to the Ashes in Dec/Jan.

Have some apartments booked on cancellation, booking flights in the next couple of weeks, thing I am after is how to get tickets.

Family Trip, the lad has somehow blagged 6 weeks off work, I'm stuck with 4-5 weeks so Adelaide onwards, he's going to Brisbane.

Any nuggets, advice, insight, past experience greatly appreciated.

I did go in 98 but was already in Asia backpacking & came from India, and guessing tickets were way way easier to get.....

Yep any help much appreciated, this is also on the travel/holidays booked thread

It's hardly surprising is it. With the insane money going around the IPL compared to everything else in cricket. Be like an American being happy that they're the best at basketball

I actually don't think England take T20 very seriously anymore, it's a bit of fun to them, hence the poor batting performances.

We seem to gear everything up to taking on Australia for The Ashes, which we generally get hammered in down under. To be so blinkered isn't very smart.

Dawid Malan was quite a useful player to hold together a T20 innings. Not the quickest starter but he could steady the ship when a couple of wickets fell. Brook could be that player but he still lacks a bit of experience to know when to slow things down and when to ramp back up again. The rest of the top order all seem to want to hit a six every ball.
