Konstas has fully rattled India hasn't he

The guy is clearly a bellend, but it is funny to see the Indians rattled.

Bowling sides get done for slow over rates, yet Batsmen can waste time as much as they want lol Obviously India would be doing exactly the same thing towards the end of play too.

Looks like Handscomb is getting picked for the Aussies in their tour to Sri Lanka. That would be four Leicestershire players playing test cricket in the past year.

Going for his ability to play spin I'm guessing

A young Aussie learning quickly how to wind the opposition up ?

He scored more fifties than anyone in the world in first-class cricket in 2024. Nice to know that still counts for something in the eyes of some selectors.

Reckon he'd be going regardless, unless he was averaging about 10

Cracking game in big bash between Perth and Melbourne Renegades.

Renegades chasing 148 were 10-4 off 4 overs.

They now need 12 from 6! Superb recovery.

What’s people’s thoughts to the Test Championship being two tier?

I initially disliked the idea (particularly when I read Vaughan’s support) and it would make the likes of the Ashes so regularly, it loses some impact. However, I read that Ireland want it and it gives realistic structure to their calendar. Then there’s teams like West Indies what still need the tests v the top sides for broadcasting revenue.

Now I’m unsure about it. However the one take is trying to get Test Matches into a competition format is a thankless task. If you want a Test Championship, you could do a competition over 6 weeks quite easily.

It makes more sense to get everyone actually playing a similar number of test matches first.

What is there currently 12 test playing nations? You either have a tournament like you've suggested, 4 groups of 3, first in each group goes in to a straight knockout last 4, winners play the final.

Or if you make the championship two tier, everyone still plays each other but say Australia beat Zimbabwe it's reflected in points so they'd get less than beating India. Obviously it'd have to be fair with every top tier nation playing 2 second tier sides or whatever.

Unless there’s a provision to prevent the big three from getting relegated then I can’t see it happening
