It’ll be a shame if this is the full stop to Max’s season. Quite comfortably been the best driver this season.

It’s just an opinion. I think people’s tribalism gets in the way of things sometimes. It’s probably a pretty unpopular opinion but I think Max will be even more of a generational talent than Hamilton was when all said and done.

I wonder if the stewards will wait to see what happens with Max’s gearbox before deciding to instate Lewis a five place grid penalty on red bull’s appeal !

 

then you’d have Lewis in 6th place and max starting 8th

 

whatever happens, the red bull looks fast and I’d be surprised if we don’t end up with a head to head between Lewis and max during the race with a very uncertain outcome given the track layout

Be interesting to see which cars go backwards in the race. With so much DRS in qualifying, you can stick a load of downforce on the car and fly in qualifying as your wing is open on the straights for most of the lap. In the race without the DRS you'll, potentially, be a sitting duck on the long straights.
