After taking a step back from things and looking at the bigger picture I’ve found myself back on the optimism bus.

Things have been bad recently  and we are due to get another hiding tomorrow but a lot of this is the after effect of 2 extremely tough seasons on a small squad.

we’ve made a few bad panic signings but name a club that haven’t? The reasons for optimism lie deeper.

This summer we had 2 priorities, find an eventual Vardy replacement, find an eventual tielemans replacement.  In daka and KDH I now find myself less worried about the day they leave.  Replacing Vardy was going to be the hardest job in the clubs history and I truly believe that daka is the best we could have got. I’m so excited to see what he can achieve here.

Look at us as a whole, without injuries. There is probably two key areas that need improving. A cb replacement for evans and of course the elusive right winger. In my books kasper can stay as long as he wants and is at our level but he might also want a new challenge.

My point is that this season is a blip, one that’s been heavily effected by injuries and one that we might all need to forget.

But we need to keep prespective to keep sending the club in the right direction. We don’t need to tear down the foundations and start again we need some fine tuning.

we have a young core of players and exciting things happening with the youth teams. We could be set up for years to come.

just try to remember all of this when our b team loses the next game and your emotion says, “sack everyone, we need to sell the players, Pearson in”

Without signing a single player we could start next season with the below players, 1/2 signings away form something special again,  that’s a great place to be:

kasper / ward

jj / Lt

soy/evans

fofana

ricardo/ Timmy

Ndidi

KDH/ soumare

Mads

barnes

Daka/Vardy /nacho

What are you talking about?

He is 22 and playing in a new country with faster pace and has actually played more minutes than ever intended .,…he has it all even last week at Anfield you can see hi getting better with each game.

I think he is a great signing and will prove with a full preseason that he is a star in the making Yaya Toure in the making …..

....there are a lot of people who view or predicament in the same way!!!

It is a lot more than this, it requires a major overhaul of the playing staff along with the clubs backroom team and we cannot continue with "wait till our injured players get back".

I am not too sure why it would be categorised as a blip when this is a continuation of last seasons fall off in performance.
