I think Barnes is about on par with Maddison, but Kelechi definitely works harder

Iheanacho’s improvement off the ball is probably the best I’ve ever seen with us. He used to be so disinterested and now he’s almost as good a team player as any

It's the supply line, we aren't getting the ball in to our attackers and midfielders. Although in the last week alone Barnes, Vardy, Perez, Daka, Lookman and Iheanacho have numerous goals and assists (a couple harshly ruled out)

But we still aren't getting the ball from defence and on the attack quick enough, our passing is poor too.

Absolutely spot on.  We have all seen it every week so far this season and beyond.

We fanny around way too long at the back and then get pushed back where Kasper then goes over the top short and a full back is dispossessed in our half (see Man C).

Look at Weds how long Jonny dwelt on the ball, we have to somehow find a way to get it down the sides or into Wilf & YT quicker, they will have more space and time and then can look forward.

Also so many times we don't even look forward, it goes back.

Many other teams just play the ball quicker from the back, I just can't believe BR has not emblazoned that into them, USE THE BALL QUICKER!!!

Wednesday hardly any passes went into the path of the player going forward, they all had to stop to wait for the ball, its poor and causing problems.

And yet Brendan said we had to slow our attacks down. Madness. We need more zip and some direct, probing passes.

I’d like to see Nacho behind Vardy with Barnes left and Lookman right. Daka on around 60 mins to rest Vardy.

A 3-4-2-1 system could work for us I think, although it would be heavily reliant on width from the full backs. Conte used it to great effect when Chelsea won the league the season after ourselves. Barnes and Iheanacho centrally with freedom to support Vardy or Daka. Having said that I do prefer a back four 🤣, I just think played right this allows us to fit Nacho and Barnes in the same side. Admittedly at the moment Lookman deserves a start as well. Realistically we have plenty of flexibility of systems we can play. I think we can play whatever system at the moment but those out of form might continue to struggle

              Evans Vestergaard Söyüncü

Ricardo  Tielemans   Ndidi   Castagne/Thomas

I've seen us play good and bad with

3.4.1.2

4.3.3.

4.4.2

4.1.4.1

One thing I've noticed more than any other it's

move the ball around quickly = good

move the ball around slowly = bad

Rodgers has often said after match we didn't move the ball around quick enough, but after 2.5 years we're moving it slower than ever.

I don't get it and you can tell after 5 minutes how the half will pan out?

I think the difference of opinions in here is telling. No consensus at all.

I think this about sums it up. We are more than capable of playing all these systems but unless we up the tempo we are going to find it difficult!

Thought it might be interesting to bring this up again, considering brendan has switched things up with a 352. When fully fit 4312 would be my favoured formation:

               kasper

Ricardo Fof Evans castagne

       Youri Ndidi soumare

               Madders

         Vardy iheanacho

obviously not far off what we play now but would have the extra security of Ndidi shielding back four and the return of Fofana who’s the perfect partner for evens with his athletic ability but also his willingness to intercept attacks and stop them dead in their tracks.

Schmeichel

Ricardo Evans Fofana Justin

Ndidi

Tielemans, Maddison

Lookman, Daka, Barnes.

I don't really know what our best line up is.  But the above, has 6 players who didn't start yesterday.

It would be a strong team.  But I would be reluctant to leave out Castagne, Amartey, Soyuncu, Soumare and Iheanacho.

Or Vardy.

And I like seeing Thomas in the team.

And I'm a fan of Albrighton.

And it would be good to see more of KDH.

And Ward was one of the best keepers at the Euros.

And Bertrand and Vestergaard haven't conceded 9 in one game since becoming Leicester players.

And Perez has looked better recently.

And Benkovic has been on the bench for some games.
