I hope we have a decent attendance, it’s hard for people money wise and the fact it’s midweek but he was a special man so hopefully as many people as possible go and pay their respects.

I feel the club should've announced Vichai commemoration aspects of the game earlier.  I'm sure people  would've been more minded to go if they'd realised sooner I certainly would .

It's not the lorry drivers fault, it's those know it all scientists I blame.

Oi...don't bring us into this...😅

Back to the thread...I'm sure those that go will find a fitting and varied ways to remember all that died that night...our fans are amazing 👏

Special events are taking place tomorrow to remember five people, including the Leicester City FC chairman Khun Vichai, who were killed in the 2018 King Power Stadium helicopter crash.

The chairman's helicopter came down shortly after a home match on October 27, 2018, killing all those onboard and traumatising many fans who had admired Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha for what he had done for the Foxes, the fans and the city.

Khun Vichai was killed along with his employees Kaveporn Punpare and Nusara Suknamai, as well as pilots Eric Swaffer and Izabela Lechowicz.

All will be remembered by Leicester City fans and players tomorrow night, when the third anniversary of the tragedy coincides with a match against Brighton & Hove Albion at the stadium.

It is the first October 27 home match since the night of the crash and as well as a minute's silence before kick-off, there will be a display in the stadium to mark the event and private services in the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Memorial Garden earlier in the day.

Due to the services, the opening times at the garden tomorrow will be from 11am until 4.15pm and again from 5pm until the match starts.

Kick-off tomorrow will be at 7.45pm - with the two sides competing in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup - but fans will be invited to arrive early for the "crowd display" which will take place before kick-off.

The club said in a statement: "Khun Vichai’s amazing legacy at Leicester City was defined by his belief in achieving the seemingly impossible – realised in the most incredible fashion when his team reached the top of the English football pyramid to lift a legendary Premier League title in 2016.

"That legacy continues to grow to this day, under chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, with the football club now the current FA Cup holders, playing in European competition, competing in the FA Women’s Super League and developing talent through one of the world’s best training facilities in Seagrave – a key part of the Srivaddhanaprabha family’s vision for the club.

"Plans for the next phase of that vision – the expansion and development of the King Power Stadium site – have recently been shared with supporters and will be a cornerstone of the club’s commitment to remaining an asset to the city and a force for good among its communities.

"The late Chairman’s commitment to supporting good causes in our communities is maintained by the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Foundation, which continues to work towards short and long-term solutions to help those in need throughout Leicestershire and beyond."

The Leicester City helicopter crash is still under investigation by the Air Accident Investigation branch.

But an initial bulletin released just two months after the crash, determined that there were mechanical faults with the helicopter.

Inquests into the five deaths are also yet to be held.

Interested on what the display in the stadium will be as a tifo is off the cards as such.

Especially as it’s not a sell out

It looked bad with flags dotted about in empty seats all game against Napoli. You really hope they've done their homework this time with something that's meant to be a respectful tribute.

I’m wondering if they’ll drop something down from the top of the stand 🤷🏻‍♂️

Still over 11,000 tickets left with big gaps in all areas…

Yeah I thought that too.

Was it you lads that did that one before or the club?

We requested to do one this way, was told no on the grounds the stand was not strong enough. Few games later one appears done by the club.

This, and chanting the 'Vichai had a dream' song in the process.

That's got to be sung all through the game imo, and I think it will be.

Can't remember which game it was but remember it happening this season and it gave me goosebumps even then.

This will be special.

Given how they've said no to UFS doing something similar multiple times this would be incredibly annoying. It'll probably be a surfer in the middle of the east stand, that's the only area with enough sold to do anything really.

As said, the club did one after you lot were told no, so don’t be too surprised!
