Jean Pyrre or Samuele Ricci are Tielemans type playmakers but I'm not sure there is a like for like replacement that we can pluck off the shelf. I do wonder just how good Dewsbury-Hall can become as well, I absolutely love the way he plays football.

I tell you who I'd take a punt on though is Donny Van De Beek, another very talented central midfielder whose first step up to a top 5 European league hasn't gone well but thst doesn't mean he isn't good enough.

VDB will play for LCFC at some point; and it was you who called it first.

When we sell NDIDI to MUFC I want VDB and £292,000,000

Some other highlights of Soumare that we've seen so far:

These are skills that Youri doesn't have, his ability to dribble and ride challenges.

But of course Youri is the best passer we've probably ever had at the club. In my mind only Gary Parker probably came close to the range of passing Youri has.

Theo Zagorakis could pick a pass

I assume there's a direct correlation between the people saying JWP and the people who were obsessed with signing Dwight Mcneil and Troy Deeney.

Yes; the same people who want NFP back as well; I imagine.

In the current squad its Soumare, but maybe Neves from Wolves if we could attract him?

I think Youri's looming departure is actually a reason for Brendan trying his best to look after Maddison. Losing both in 1 window would rid us of alot of technical ability.

Agree with this. Neves is the closest player to Tielemans in the PL in my opinion. He'd cost a lot of money though so I think that'd rule us out and whether he'd see us as a step up is open to debate.

Billy Gilmour for me. He won’t make it at Chelsea but if you stick him next to Soumare and Ndidi, he will make the game tick like a Rolex.

Yes. Hopefully will be another one that Chelsea will let go too early and turn into a worldie

In all seriousness, this is the answer. I started making peace with Youri leaving next year as soon as he signed.

I think I'm gradually thinking the same. It actually shows our model is working - if we sell Youri (sob) and Praet next summer, we already have a replacement who has got his feet under the table in Bouba, plus some money to finally invest in a right winger. If Lookman continues as he is, that definitely strengthens us.

He'd be great but there's way too much talk of him being in their future plans. Kanté and Jorginho are at the latter parts of their career, so Gilmour will get more chances with Chelsea in a season or so.
