It is still Europe, but I'm giving you the reason.

I've said before but when the manager shows utter contempt for European football it will not make the people who go mainly for the game interested in forking out.

He outright declared he doesn't even know what the competition is, despite getting us dumped into it, it does not get the fans engaged in the competition.

BR imo has killed a fair bit of excitement for european football.

Pretty harsh. He made a flippant comment off the back of the disappointment of getting knocked out of the europa league. I don’t expect him to know about a competition his team wasn’t involved in up to that point. If that one comment has killed excitement for the tournament the fans have to look at themselves rather than trying to blame

It's not just that in isolation though is it. It's the results under him in Europe against some pretty average opposition coupled with comments that back up the feeling that he doesn't care about European football.

When it comes to paying out for these trips it's a lot easier if you feel the club actually has an interest in going as far as possible.

Watching a team not engaged in the spirit of the competition against some pretty poor opposition, at great cost, isn't appealing to the masses.

A few months ago our own fans were mocking this competition and Spurs, at least they aren't hypocrites.

Ok yes i understand your point. If you are going solely to watch the team win and progress the general consensus is quite negative, results have been poor and these trips aren't cheap. Even more so than the FA and league cup where it's guaranteed we'll play a weaker team, but at least there's a >50% chance we will win.

I am seeing it from my own point of view whereby i could not care less even if we play an u23 team, only want to have a good time. This trip never appealed to me as i found copenhagen quite dull, assumed Aarhus would be even worse and that it would be really cold

As season ticket holders on the lowest rung, currently 165 points, I thought this would be sold out within 2 days. I'm beginning to be weirdly optimistic that it might even reach us on Tuesday.

I wish however, that we did draw a team like Partizan Belgrade, where we probably would have been guaranteed tickets against a club with a big hooligan following.

Hey hoh, back on the Leicester City roller coaster !

Every season since 14/15. 8 seasons in total, including the 20-21 season, even though fans couldn’t attend.

I think Season 13/14 was when it started, I’m sure I first got points allocated after the Doncaster game when Kasper helped the ball into his own net following a corner. Went to most away games that season, think QPR away was most nerve wracking, very crucial game.

I’m surprised that still well over 300 tickets left. I don’t get the argument that we’re not playing well / manager doesn’t care etc.

This is my team and I will support them all the way. In fact, I used to go to more away matches in our relegation seasons as that’s when the fans are needed; anyone can jump on the band wagon of success.

I guess it’s the way of the new judgemental style fan, all about performance and winning. One of my pet dislikes is the Manager In / Our Poll after every single match! How short sighted is this. Even when we are winning regularly he never got 100% yes.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m gutted when we lose, but at the end of the day you have to put it in perspective and there’s always the next match to look forward to!

Hopefully you are in with a chance Col. I was up at 630 this morning in Cape Verde getting our tickets, could have had a lie in!

Week done you Chris.... Now you can relaaaaaxxxx......

I love the European trips as much for the non footballing experience, as for the 90 minutes itself.

We are going whether we get tickets or not, so hopefully we can have a beer out there

We went to Cape Verde a few years back, Sal Island.... Nice place.

This will eventually most probably sell out early next week. What will put people off if the fact that you have to sort your own travel details out. Some of those that follow us away like to have everything laid on a plate for them and can't be bothered to sort any travel details out etc. Randers is not like Warsaw, Naples, Madrid and most of the other European trips we have had, where you fly into the city where the game is taking place and that's it. Going to Denmark you fly to Copenhagen, Billund or a couple of other airports and then it involves travelling to the town where the game is being played.

I really do hope potential hassle with the travel does deter people as I want this to be the 60th different ground in which I've watched LCFC play but unfortunately I'm in the 'All ST' bracket on Tuesday PM. But I do get a ticket the main part of my travel arrangements will not to GET ON BUS to the ground!!!!

got ticket just checked my hotel in Aarhus right slap bang in the middle of everything ....pubs, bars, restaurants, 10 mins walk from station  n port, bring it on cant bloody wait......oh and covid restrictions being lifted in Denmark on the 13th Feb Lovely jubbly.

Aarhus looks a great place, it's where I identified for my stay if I can get a ticket on Tuesday AM. For those of you who are still thinking about going Denmark I need to tell you it is a terrible place, with violent people - have you not seen Vikings?? Very expensive country with terrible food - Surströmming fermented Baltic Sea herring - basically fish that's been allowed to go rotten that's all they serve. I also hear the bed linen in hotels is only changed once every two years (not even when someone dies in the bed). These comments have absolutely no connection whatsoever to my need for the allocation to go to 'All ST's' !!!!!!
