It's arguably the only chance we have of Europe next season.

Although given how much we moan about extra games, extra workload, added scheduling along with how we treat Europe with contempt I question if we really wanna bother with Europe anyway.

We either go all out and get in Europe by winning this or we bomb it off and aim for Europe through the league. If we can actually get some of our players fit for a prolonged period, we could still finish top 6. The top 3 is what it is. The rest is up for grabs. Spurs and Arsenal have improved but United are a horror show and then there is West Ham who have looked pretty tidy. Will West Ham be going all out for the Europa league though? Spurs also don't have Europe to worry about so will probably finish the season strong in the league. Realistically with our squad, we won't be able to stay in Europe and aim for top 6. It will be one or the other. Brendan doesn't seem fussed about the conference league either given his comments.

Disagree. In the context of this situation, for me it's incredibly pointless to risk anybody. We've got a crack at the Europa conference still and already falling behind on fixtures. If the kids can win then fair to them.

I personally wouldn't have Barnes, Youri, Madders or Vesty anywhere near this game.

Then who would play? We’ve no players?

I can't handle Youri playing in this pointless game and potentially getting injured. It's already a farce, I don't see why we'd risk any players considering we've already screwed up plenty by playing them when they shouldn't be played.

Sometimes injury risk works the other way doesn't it? Ie the less often you play competitive games the more likely you are to pick up a soft tissue injury when you next play because your muscles will lose some of the match fitness so when you have to up your intensity levels and you are not used to it.

10 days since we last played, more in the case of Barnes. He could fall over in the shower or down the stairs.

Tielemans is one of those who is best when playing regularly, same with Albrighton.

Exactly. Each player is different. Albrighton, from a physical point of view, probably isn't in the best condition because he hasn't played enough?
