Sorry but personally don’t blame Vestergaard Rogers should not have brought him in  at that point. Gave West Ham the incentive they needed.

Agreed. You should never change your back line at 90 minutes. How do you expect a centre half to come on and judge the game properly.

As much as I don't want to see Vestergaard anywhere near our starting line-up I also don't want our fans booing our own players, it really is the most brain-dead thing to do. Iheanacho used to get that treatment too. People just don't learn. However much he's a poor fit for the team, the guy is a human being pulling on the blue shirt. He didn't ask to be brought on, he didn't actually affect the goal being scored. Rodgers brought him on, blame him.

Therein lies the problem.

I do agree though, it's not a good look booing your own players.

Kasper - 4 - Felt like he was slow getting down for the Bowen goal and that he was nowhere to be seen for the equaliser. Distribution was poor too. Really poor game from him considering he didn't have much to do.

Ricardo - 8 - His best game since his injury by a mile. Really was back to his best, especially in the second half when realised we were allowed to attack.

Amartey - 6 - Woeful distribution but otherwise pocketed an out of sorts Antonio.

Soyuncu - 5 - Similar to Amartey in many ways but was lacking badly for the 1st goal. Nowhere to be seen. Not sure why he thinks he's got the ability to play those Toni Kroos passes with his weak foot though.

Justin - 5 - Didn't have a great chance to prove himself in the game and got injured early. Would have been nice to see him in the second half when we took the initiative though. He's not being given the same freedoms he had last season.

Tielemans - 7 - Massive game of two halfs. Woeful in the 1st but sublime in the 2nd.

Ndidi - 5 - Felt he was really off it outside of a 20 minute spell after half time where he was mopping everything up as normal.

Dewsbury-Hall - 7 - Thought he was excellent and kept the game simple in the 2nd half. Just drove forward and gave the ball to Barnes again and again.

Maddison - 6 - Some beautiful touches but felt he slowed the game down too often. That said he barely seemed to give it away.

Barnes - 8 - Absolutely brilliant. His best game in ages and he just ate Coufal alive. Love it when he plays direct like this and we look so much better when he's on it.

Daka - 5 - Not sure if it was a tactic fed from the manager but he seemed determined to battle with Diop who just either fouled him or outmuscled him too much. Needed to focus on using his pace more than his strength.

Thomas - 7 - Showed why I thought he should have started the game. Been like this for a while now, turning into a reliable member of the squad.

Lookman - 6 - Didn't seem to get involved too much and had a great chance to square the ball to Barnes at 2-1.

Vestergaard - 1 - Just a disaster of a substitution. Gave the ball away constantly and didn't utilise his massive frame for the corner.

When I was a kid it was the smallest players jobs to stand on the posts or protect the keeper from the annoying guys there to disrupt.

Does make you wonder why vestergarde was tasked with that rather than just attacking the ball.

I’d argue he was close enough to win the ball. But yeah, we are amateur

surely lookman man could have protected kasper enough that any ball in that area he could easily claim?
