Thanks. Yes going Thursday morning shuttle 0650. Drive abroad a lot and already worked out three alternative routes. Still a bit worried though!

I haven't driven in Europe since Covid . Anyone know if there are any border checks into Belgium and Netherlands . Hoping once we re in France that's it

We got checked between Germany and Denmark but all they did was take a photo of pur passports and that's it.

 

Family travelled  by ferry on Sunday and said no covid checks.

 

All just seems completely random. Best to be prepared I reckon and if you don't get pulled up. Bonus.

Driven uk>Eindhoven about 25 times since covid started. Not once checked. Only time there could be a check is at Belgium TO France just before the tunnel. But it’s about 1 in 100 cars they pull over for random reason so wouldn’t worry about that either. 
 

The rerouting around the tunnel in Folkestone is veeeeeeeery badly signposted now with the detours so use navigation and keep eyes open cause it’s badly done around the m20. You can pass all trucks but there also some smarter detours so check gps for options. 
 

Check 1 hour before arrival also https://www.eurotunnel.com/uk/travelling-with-us/latest/ to see the current situation. Should be fine once you arrive as tunnel itself is usually fine unless some major incident going on I always been on easily. You can arrive 2hrs before your set time and they let you onto the first available.

Took 45 minutes to get through but we checked in at 5.45am, we were never asked for proof of vaccination or the Dutch form that was required at either BHX or Amsterdam.

Took off on time, no delays at Schiphol.

Says on the relevant websites possible spot checks only.
 

In reality I’m not expecting any hassle as we are transiting and they will have expected all the passport / health checks to have been carried at point of entry into the EU.

I drove today. They were doing spot checks in Calais I didn’t see them stop anyone. The longest queue was dover. Be mindful of how long it takes to get through.

There were no checks at the border when h got of ferry didn’t get checked again

You can’t go down M20. Theres hold up where M2 roundabout joins A2. Someone said they went to next junction and missed it
