Guest Kopfkino Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 Are we going to have any policy discussion on the significant issues or has the country just given up on ideas in politics? As if anyones going to pay any attention to why you should trust them just from whatever drops out of their mouth from that answer. The last person I trust is the person that says you can trust them
Sly Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 People won’t like it, however Rishi is the sensible option. 1 1
StanSP Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 Mordaunt isn't having a great time in persuading me or probably anyone that she is capable of being an adequate PM. 1

Clearly very well prepared, is a decent public speaker and is the only one who you actually see his brain working as the others answer questions.

Lionator Posted 15 July 2022 Author Posted 15 July 2022 “I think it is wrong to increase corporation tax” is a statement in the current climate that makes you completely unfit to be in public office. 1

Sly Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 Just now, Line-X said: May was just socially awkward. Boris was a showman. Complete fraud and stuff as crazy as pulling out of Afghanistan early, has largely been forgotten. Cameron wasn’t actually bad, however fell on his own sword and had a bit to do with pigs. Brown was too wooden and always the brains and number two. Blair was a solid frontman, however overran the course. Did some dodgy stuff around Iraq that whilst I worn condone; I don’t disagree with the principle. We’ve left the Middle East in a bloody mess though.
Zear0 Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 "Nuclear fired plants"? Stay away from the Truss power plants.
StanSP Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 Some of the stuff they're saying is hilarious. As if they've not had some say in what's happened in the last 12 years
st albans fox Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 no one can win anything in these debates but they can lose a lot mordaunt and badenoch are the least known (I’m ignoring Tom because he will be out on Monday) Those two have not helped themselves imo PM just mentioned moving supplier - can you move supplier at the moment ? No one wants to take on anyone - out of touch ….
StanSP Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 Mordaunt just says words. Doesn't actually offer any solutions. 2

I get the impression he’s a sneaky worm like nob head 🤣

Guest Kopfkino Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 Truss actually says something worth delving into and Krishnan has no presence of mind to pursue it.. Linked inflation to mentally policy and said she’d change that but yet she can’t because the BoE is independent (at least somewhat). That would have to change which would be significant economic policy yet not proved. Would be the most significant thing that could come out of this debate if she wanted to do something there.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 Why did the ERG play all their chips on truss? Is it literally cause she had a photo in a tank and thought the great one had risen in spirit
Zear0 Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 Can see why they're privatising Channel 4. This is the most anti-Tory propaganda I've ever seen. 1 1
Mike Oxlong Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 Who’s want to be PM ? Boris will leave the sheets in a right mess when he moves out and I’d wager that there’ll be crumbs everywhere
Zear0 Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 Kemi won't be in charge in 2050 so who gives a toss about net zero. 1
StanSP Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 Sunak is far more articulate than 3 of the other 4 candidates so that'll get him far.
