I think there'll be a fair few of us doing a half marathon tomorrow regardless of whether it's on or not.

What you thinking, just carrying on and finishing at the same point? I’d considered running home after the 10k course.

We'll work something up and I'll post it in here.

Just done the Harbs park run in 23min exact. All knees and ankles seem ok. Very happy with myself.

Good luck to those doing the Leicester half :appl:

Cant see the half NOT going ahead unless it absolutely  p1sses it down today.

I remember  a few years ago ot was pelting down but it still went ahead.

I know watermead is the issue but a few mates ran that area on Wednesday  and said it was okay.

If it is only the 10km just remember  most of the road blocks will be lifted so if your planning on doing a half marathon distance just be careful safety wise👍🏾

Hopefully positive news in the next few hours👍🏾

Good luck everyone for tomorrow, wish I'd kept my spot as my achilles is nowhere near as bad as it was. Managed a 26:30 Parkrun today, 2 minutes quicker than last week so the plan for a sub 25 before Christmas is looking doable.

Strava says I did it in 2:15 something. Happy with that and managed to keep a good pace up New Walk so could probably have gone faster but my god I'm glad to be home. Big Mac meal on route and I have no shame about it.

Well done everyone some really good times already in here :appl:

Thought I was going to chunder up new walk but was shocked at how flat it was overall. The hill in Birstal I think it was wasn’t ideal either.

I feel like how Saddam Hussein must have felt when he was dragged out that hole after 3 months. Look like him an'all.

Shook your hand on London Road, not shocked you were knakered if them gloves were anything to go by. Thought you had been digging up your nans flower bed.

Hahaha was about to reply to your message, good to see you mate. I've had them gloves off Martin Hodge in 1988.

Yeah the two Birstall hills are not spoken about enough. Knowing New Walk was coming was a big help this time. Northampton finish is probably worst

After being sent home from work with the lurgy on Friday and spending yesterday in bed, I dropped down to the 10K. (Didn’t want to miss out on the t shirt or lose money)

Dragged my sorry a*s around in 55 minutes and thanks to a chap being a dick at the start of New Walk, nearly vommed at the finish. Managed to run consistent miles and they only dipped as I stopped for a drink. I’ll take that today.

The finish at Northampton takes the absolute utter pi*s. That bit along with the steps at Sixfields.

Those Birstall hills I wasn't warned about lol. Saw a bloke and a girl sat down being bottle fed water by the marshalls, it was like a scene from outside wetherspoons at kick out time
