Some of you seem to like cars so hopefully know something.

Daughter loves driving and the Fast and Furious films - so, with her 21st approaching, I fancied getting her a day/half day where she gets to rip in some 4-wheeled exotica.

Anyone have a positive experience they can suggest?

I've done a couple of supercar experiences. Excellent. To drive a car (Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin DB8, in my case) that you'd never ever normally drive and on a racetrack. Fantastic experience.

The let down for me was it's only 3 laps. Pay a few quid extra and you can buy additional laps. Great fun. Just be led by the instructor but at the same time GO FOR IT. They won't allow you to crash.

If you end up finding one on Virgin Media experiences etc, might have a 22% discount code.

I did one at Silverstone too, as a big F1 fan driving on the actual track was great, and I absolutely loved the Aston Martin I got to drive. If she's into F1  then Silverstone is definitely a good choice, otherwise I'm sure she'd enjoy it wherever you choose

I did one in Loughborough. Everyman Racing I think?

Pretty good TBF. There was a pretty wide selection of cars from which I drove an Arial Atom, a Lambo Gallardo and a Nissan GT-R. Obviously you have an instructor with you and they encourage you to thrash the cars (although they make you set off in the Atom in 3rd gear because it’s 4 wheels and engine attached to some scaffolding)

I got a couple of laps in each car then a pro took me round for some drifting in a souped up Vauxhall VXR8 which was fun.

The only downside is waiting your turn. The days get quite busy I think.

A friend of mine won a driving day around Mallory park park in The Sun about 15 years ago, he must have been the only one won entered because he won it 3 times. He sat in the car while a racing driving took him around the track, only problem was, he gets travel sick and he was throwing up all day lol .

Gah. I read my first T&Cs ever on the one I went for  - and she needed to have held her licence for three years...so that's out then. Oh well. Maybe I can push her out of a plane or something instead!

We bought this one from virgin for my lads 16th, was half price at the time not sure if it still is. Not had chance to book him in yet but it looks good.

Found a stunt driving course for her - probably better for her than just learning to drive fast (going by the locals in rain and snow). High speed parallel parking is just what's needed at Morrisons.
