Steve Hodge, via Sotheby's Auction House, has sold the shirt he swapped with Maradona after that infamous game against Argentina in 1986 for £7.1M!!

Not bad for a bit of cheating.

If Steve Hodge had a scintilla of decency, he'd give that money to charity.

It was his incompetent sliced clearance that directly led to the first goal in the first place.

He should hang his head in shame for profiteering out of it.

And, particularly, after saying in 2020 he had no intention of selling.

I can think of 7 million reasons why he changed his mind!

Shliton should have decapitated him...

If he had, what would he have spoken about for the last 35 years?

That is what needs to be done! Or used has a toilet rag, think that is better

Meanwhile in an Argentinian auction of Maradona’s belongings the bemused locals have failed to meet the reserve price of seven for the Hodge shirt. Bid of five pounds and a tin of corned beef currently being considered.
