It’s genuinely depressing seeing and feeling the exact same things as last relegation. Nothing has changed. How are we watching this guy play for us and calling for Iversen. AGAIN

Relegation confirmed:

Can’t believe anyone is defending him. He’s paid millions of pounds to play football and he’s ****ing dogshit at football, he has cost us and is costing us immensely. No one is criticising him as a person. He is just a terrible, terrible footballer who has no business playing in the Premier League. He should be booed until he either improves or leaves.

Not having the booing towards our own player, and nobody could ever convince me otherwise.

Always the thick blokes and almost always blokes in their 40’s.

Not looking for an argument but what other way is there to demonstrate disdain for overpaid shit performers dragging our club through the mud?

By all accounts he’s been given chances to leave but has stuck around mooching his contract, now embarrassing everyone involved, including himself as we drop into another relegation fight.

The commentators on my feed today were laughing about the fact we were 3-0 down to a 0.41 xG.

He must be one of the costliest players in Premier League history: three halves of football and he's already fast-tracking our next relegation.

so ward has played 135mins of league football for us this season,

let in 6 goals.....

aint that like a goal every 22 mins or something?

Don't forget to subtract the need to try from Wolves 2nd half today

He’s literally cost the future of the club with his performance today. A perennial 6 pointer and this complete and utter incompetent nob jockey plays. Does the 18s keeper even do any worse? How has nobody else stepped up and said “do not play him”? All the players are quick to step up and hound a manager out but Danny Ward? No.

Not a fan of this as it implies it can illicit change, booing from the stands does nothing and is all about self gratification and speaking to other fans. It does not cause change at a club any longer, and has not done for a long time. (For brand clubs it’s slightly different but not massively)

Bringing this back to the fore.

It's not even about the morality of booing for me, it's about the complete lack of positive utility that it has.

I can understand why people do it and it's their right to do so, but let's not pretend that it makes things better for anyone but themselves.

Our fate was sealed when he was named in the starting lineup! I knew then we would lose.

Poor positioning, no anticipation, can’t sort his feet and appears to dive too late every time!

Of course he is going to defend him publicly

Why???

He should just say “yeah that wasn’t the best performance” and never play him again. Defending him lets the fans and the squad know that failure is acceptable

But he'd be lying seeing as he will be playing him again.

He'll be our number one when mads goes to Chelsea in Jan...

Neither of us know if what you’re saying about having chances to leave is true and if it is true we definitely don’t know the actual details of it.

There was a bandwagon of blokes openly trying to humiliate Ward today, brave because they’re hidden in a crowd, all thick

If he plays again then Ruud will lose a lot of the goodwill he has from the fans. If he can’t see that then I don’t see how he’s going to succeed in management.

I dislike hyperbole, and I’ve sense checked myself here, and still believe it’s as cut and dried as that.

A keeper that probably won't make obvious errors like chucking the ball in but will concede a tonne of goals from shots close to him, soft wrists, not being imposing enough.

We wouldn't have lost if Hermansen wasn't injured.

He saves the first and third goals, and the defence is better organised for the second.

We get a dull and uninspiring 0-0 rather than a season ending 3-0 spanking.

You're a Ward fan then?

Weird straw man but I’ll answer you,

No I don’t think he should play

However I think that any fan that went out of their way to humiliate him today is thick & wrong
