Believe Thiago got away with something similar last weekend which wasn’t even given as a foul. Seems a ridiculous technique going in two footed to try and block a clearance?!

Always runs the risk of being sent off for it and potentially very dangerous if he mistimes that slightly and goes straight through Fofana.

Call me a cynic but I wonder if Amartey would have got away with it at say Stamford Bridge or Anfield etc

Or the next Leicester City who famously sacked their manager and won the Premier League at 5000-1 odds?

I think fans have fallen into the lazy punditry (of pro pundits) of calling out managerial sackings as a bad thing without, necessarily, understanding the details.

Puel was sacked, by us, having delivered two top ten finishes. People talk about Rodgers being sacked after finishing 5th, 5th, top ten and delivering an FA Cup. The fear is the direction and future not a reflection on not achieving enough.

Everyone was queuing up to say Burnley were stupid to sack Dyche but, to me, it was obvious. They were just looking for a  short term new manager bounce as a gamble to stay in the Premier League.

I’m not saying that Wolves would be right or wrong to sack their manager - just that, as fans of another club, we might be isolated from the facts

We have the players to do far better next season we should definitely be aiming for Top 5 finish maybe pushing for 4th place, finishing top half is a minimum expected target for the club. We have come a long way.

I agree we should be confident of a top half position as we have come a long way...but top 6 is totally different when you are up against 6 financial powerhouses - we are relying on them not having their houses in order which has happened in previous seasons.

You mention pushing for 4th but can you really see us being anywhere near Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea or    Spurs?

And as it wasn't the entire squad's birthday last night, you'd need to add the months Ie. KDH 23 years and 5 months ..... Or make the assumption that over the entire squad the birthday's are equally distributed throughout the year ..... so add in 6 months.

So the average age is nearer to 27.7!

Not young by any measure!

Don't we usually stop caring about months when we get to about 10/11 years old? :D

It comes back in later life as the pension gets closer I bet.

You'll have to show me where I said he had a good season.

All I have said that out of central midfield options, Tielemans can make a pass far more than others and that occurs even in the poor season he's had as the stats highlight.

Your suggestion he is a scapegoat led me to believe you think he has been decent. Scapegoat suggests unfair criticism for alleged poor performances, he has been poor, deserves criticism and is clearly not a scapegoat.

Makes me laugh how some use certain stats to support their arguments, it’s like pass completion stat, totally meaningless if your team passes it from one centre back to another for half the game.

I agree. It’s an interesting one with Wolves (I spend a lot of time around Molineux), their view of Bruno is much the same as ours about BR.

Players playing below their best, consistent formation / team selections that don’t work, negative football when previously he’d had them playing great attacking football, bizarre subs, freezing players out etc etc

I have to remind myself who we’re talking about!!

....I have noticed a tendency for some defenders to dive infront of the attackers so the block is guaranteed as there is no way to get pass!!!

It is a very clever ploy as no referee is going to penalise the move and should the ball come into contact with the defenders arm, it would be overlooked.
