But we did have 1 attempt and scored from it.

Lucky deflection lead to a great finish for our one attempt, but that type of goal has saved us many times this season, it’s an ongoing issue where we spend entire games creating nothing from open play

I’m thrilled with the point but I can’t be happy with the sheer lack of quality we showed going forward. We don’t half squander some great positions going forward and only managed to create two long shots.

In the 20s we had 4 consecutive top half finishescand again in the Martin O'Neil era, but this is the first sequences of 5.

Given everything, 8th would be higher than expected. But also given the poor standard of the division this season, the shame is that if we could have put any sort of run together we’d have made 6/7 and back into Europe

The injuries have killed us this season, especially to Wes

I agree, the bad start of the season didn't help. Fofana injury in the last pre season game, Soyuncu Euros, losing the top 4 for a second time etc lead to negative circumstances surrounding the side starting the season. However I do feel this camp has difficulty dealing with that adversity considering how these circumstances can easily turn into extended drops in form.

That Pulisic miss lol

Bwahahaha.

He's a horrid person, too, so get it right up him and thanks very much for the point.

He's also crap from what I've seen of him. Decent technically but hugely wasteful. Can't believe they haven't binned him off yet, they've been weirdly patient with him. Maybe he helps shift a few Chelsea shirts off the pitch because he's bobbins on it.

Turgid. I hate that set up. 2 shots in 90mins is beyond woeful for a team with regular top 6 aspirations. We have gone really stale. So Im happy to accept changes are required. Just hope we pick wisely.

It just formation and tactics, you don't go from scoring 5 at watford and 3 to having 2 shots on target through player ability..

For whatever reason we made very little attempt to press and win the ball and create counter attacks that we could make chances (we are capable) but there were 3 or 4 occasions we should have got in situations where a good chance could have been creates but for wayward passing. KDH was guilty of it but at the same time provided a couple of tantalising passes that just needed a good control and flick on and we'd have been in but Kelechi was very poor tonight on a few of these.

Daniel Amartey was breathtaking with some of his distribution today, has he had a brain transplant? New contract for me, the perfect back up defender.

The way at times he received the ball, turned and then made a great pass made me many times convinced I was seeing a different player that we had signed.

He's a backup / squad option all day long, but he has improved a lot. His technical play has improved a lot and he looks very comfortable in a 3 man defence.

Playing LCB as well, seemed to suit him.

Good result, poor performance. More often than not we would have lost that 2-0. People saying it was a good performance are simply basing it on the result rather than how we played. Defensively we looked okay but going forward we were abysmal, I'm afraid.

Ahhh but what about when we've played well and lost and people criticise the team on the result. Is that ok? Don't be afraid.
