I must be the only one happy with that.

Very comfortable in a typical end of season game. Came for a point, did a job on them and got a point. Lacked attacking intent but overall the game plan worked (to a certain extent)

Well you're not are you

Is that a cloud of Covid? Or is it a hallucinogenic mist making you think we'd actually play gung ho attacking football away at Chelsea? If you were tripping on that it must have made you forget all the football you've ever seen in your life.

Lucky deflection lead to a great finish for our one attempt, but that type of goal has saved us many times this season, it’s an ongoing issue where we spend entire games creating nothing from open play

Nothing about Kasper's distribution or a decent finish then?

Not sure he'd get in our team now either when we have N'Didi back too

He would..

Ndidi as not had a good season..

I don't think that we would be going into the final game with a good chance of 8th place had we got past Roma.

The accountants will be happy with that given the Premier League prize money.

Result was better than the performance.  I found it strange that we ended up with Barnes and Perez up front when we had Daka and Lookman on the bench . Odd

I think it's called a heatmap, I was not expecting anything of the sort did you see how we lined up.

Take the point but really didn't like the tactics. Chelsea have been in pretty bad form winning like 2 of their last 6/7 games, but we really didn't push them. The players for the most part were ok, apart from the 2 strikers who spent most of the game in their own half defending.

We could have had Soy and Ward up front it wouldn't have made much difference we barely threatened them.

Currently a 1-1 draw in a nothing game away at Chelsea is as good as it gets guys.

People on here saying 'for a team with top 6 aspirations' need to take a dose of reality check juice....Everton are also a team with top 6 aspirations and they've just won to stay up!

Wolves are a team with top 6 aspirations and we could easily finish above them after what many of us will agree has been a crap season. West Ham have top 6 aspirations yet they've blown it....Villa have top 6 aspirations and are sitting in 14th place.

Yes today wasnt pretty and I'd like to see us lay more of a glove on teams like Chelsea and Liverpool but right now we are not at their level...small rebuild needed over the summer...nothing major and we go again with hopes for top 6 but let's not kid ourselves into thinking teams like United and Arsenal and Spurs will continue to be as crap as they have been at times this season.

Wolves are hotly tipped to sack their manager for underperforming.

This. There were a few times we could have been in on the counter but we delayed our laying the ball in too much. KDH has loads of good qualities, but he’s no Youri when it comes to threading or at least attempting those through balls.

Defended brilliantly though and don’t think we got much help from the ref.

If Youri goes, well, when Youri goes, we need a playmaker. I doubt anyone at the club is oblivious to that fact.

Is Tuchel paid more than Rodgers, because apparently that's an important indicator for who should win?

Tuchel’s side have finished third and reached a final. Despite that, if the drop in form doesn’t improve, he’ll be under severe pressure (despite his achievements) very soon. This isn’t an argument. Our manager has failed to remedy basic technical errors like corner defending, defending generally and game management - it’s no contest our manager deserves to be under pressure.

Despite all that. 1-1 against Chelsea away is always a good result. I would’ve like to have seen Barnes or Lookman start given the style we played but you then either lose a defender or the second striker so it wasn’t the worst decision. I do worry that we very rarely have a plan B and something we’ve struggled to do this season is have periods in the game where we control and create. I don’t pretend not to be firmly in the Rodgers out camp but I’m not going to nit pick at an end of season away day and a decent point - if anything we were organised today which is something we haven’t been in many a game this season!

Didn’t create a huge amount but having said that we did look during the small periods we had the ball. Think we lacked quality in the final third.

Kelechi probably had his worst game in a while which didn’t help.

Even though Youri has been sloppy this season I think we missed his penetrating passes.

Big positives to take from our defending though. Evans was colossal and Fofana is just a class above. Reads the game so well. Can’t miss out that man Madders. Honestly speaking I think we will do well to keep him in the summer.
