Leeds (18th Oct) and Newcastle (26 Dec) will be on Amazon Prime.

Dammit - why can't they be in the same month :P   (Yes, I know I'm being stingy.)

Lets see if they announce them within those times then :rolleyes:

Yeah only time will tell. I think after the last couple of seasons I'm hoping they have learnt not to fvck fans over (ha!) and actually stick to them...

I don't know where that's from but i guess there's a reason they're titled Provisional dates.

It's from official Premier League site.

I know they're provisional, but would be nice if they can stick to them as close as possible that's a start!

@davieG can this be pinned?

It can but I don’t think @Mark encourages it as he doesn’t believe it helps keep it active.

The fixture was initially scheduled to take place on Saturday 6 August, but will now move to the Sunday, with a slightly earlier kick-off time due to the annual Caribbean Carnival taking place in the city on the Saturday.

All fixtures remain subject to change at broadcast selections, which will be reflected on LCFC.com.

Updated fixture details:

frustrating! nothing beats a sat 3pm game on the opening weekend of the season.

I also suspect there will be a few annoyed Brentford fans as with the games for TV announced already you would have banked on the game not being moved.

Because fortunately, the city doesn’t revolve around the football club.

Lol nothing to do with the club, the premier league decide the opening date, which was this year dictated by the Qatar world cup. Imagine that 'delay the world cup by a week lads caribbean carnival is always first saturday of the month in Leicester and City might be at home'

Leicester could have requested an away fixture first, the fixtures aren't as random as people think.

Might've done and got rejected

What and now they have decided its OK to move it once the fixtures have been released? OK..... We obviously didn't request it, probably an oversight by someone but again its the fans that suffer.

Yes, very obviously. The premier league likely did not want to mess about with their marquee opening weekend because there's a caribbean festival on in Leicester, so rejected the request to have Leicester play away first. Leicester v Brentford at Saturday 3pm or Sunday 2pm makes absolutely no difference commerically to the league, its not a tv pick. The fixtures revolve around the big 6 and the broadcasters, not a festival in Leicester lol
