Whatever conversations madders and Brendan have had has worked. He’s become a man possessed and has lifted his levels beyond any of our expectations I think. Long May it continue because I don’t think you could name many, if any better CAM in the premier league from Christmas onwards last season. As for KDH, I work with his cousin, he was telling me just the other week he’s the kind of lad who just wants to be the best at every thing he does, no matter what…..

Its no surprise really, it sounds like his mum grafted and sacrificed a lot to take him here there and everywhere and he’s the kind of lad who holds that close to his heart it seems, hence why he puts so much in when he plays.

This is why I get frustrated when people winge and moan about us and throw silly comments around suggesting we’re doomed. There’s a mentality that’s been instilled into this club, not just the team the club, normally when we’re up against it we perform better… we’ve done it countless times and often are more effective with a smaller close knit squad.

Trust me, this season we will finish top 5…. There’s just something about these lads you just can’t underestimate.

I remember having to do that **** bleep test at Humphrey Perkins, in the main hall for PE.  Having said that, we ALSO had to do it in the bloody swimming pool, too, as they wanted us to try for Grade 4/5 at the time - which was even WORSE! :P   (I have no idea what that school (academy, now, right?) is like these days, though, so...)

He's not surprised me, this last 9-10 months he has turned in to an absolute specimen. He's fast, he's aggressive and very determined. He's going to make Southgate's life a living nightmare these next 5 months.

He’s going straight into my FPL team this year.

I would definitely sooner do it in the pool than run it!

I was really surprised at how quick Madders looked there. I get the impression he's going to give his absolute everything to try and push for a world cup place, which is great news for us. I saw something the other day saying that they are increasing the size of squads by 3, which gives him an even better chance of getting on the plane. Although I am unsure what would be worse- watching it from the sofa or watching it all from the bench...

Him and Nacho were at a wedding reception in Nigeria over the weekend, so should hopefully be back soon

Was it Musa's?

No. No you wouldn't - trust me on that :P   I bet they don't have a pool big enough at the new training ground, do they?

Doesn’t look like a traditional bleep test. There are similar tests that are a better measure of fitness than the bleep test.

The club had previously designed their own which they were using in 2015, not sure if this is the same as then or whether they have adapted it further.

Ha, ok, put another way, my knee would prefer me to swim it rather than run it!

Would love to see a Premier League bleep test where each club sends their best. I wonder where KDH would come?

KDH should write on the back of his shorts “ eat my shorts”
