We shouldn't be gifting players of his quality (Yes I understand he's not had any consistency for us but he is a premier league quality player) We should at least get 5 - 7 with a year left, we apparently want 30+ for Tielemans who's in exactly the same position.

Its about the wages. We can't continue to pay someone who has no future at the club 80k a week to warm the bench. Its madness. 2

I'm more from the angle that he will play a role as a squad player off the bench this season, and also has the ability to make an impact (depending on which Perez turns up). We would need a replacement for him, which I could just see would be a panic buy from recruitment team, or we loan a player, which could be more likely. I understand Rogers getting lots of flack, but the back office including Rudkin have put us in a right pickle and hardly aiding any recovery on the pitch.

Bearing in mind even Perezs' biggest supporters acknowledge the massive inconsistency, and that he is never going to be more than a squad player who will be warming the bench for big period of time, surely thats all the evidence you need to know that its time to clear this wage off the bill. We can replace with someone younger who can improve and develop. There is no more development to be had with Ayoze. You've seen the best he can offer.

Agree, hes toast, but the dilema is can we replace in 5 days against letting him go for free? We don't have an academy player in his role ready at this stage, else we would have seen them by now. So we have to go into the market. (Armarty, Soyuncu, Vesterguard, Praet, Mendy, Hamza) all on borrow time, but it's essential we have some senior pros on the bench else we will come unstuck. If we let him go for free, fine, but big risk, in my view.

He's played 100 games though so you'd imagine the figure is more than £18m but probably less than £30m. Whatever it is, we're all agreed it's shocking value for money however you look at it. I have a relative who works at the club. Hes fairly high up. He spent time with the owners on their first visit to the stadium before purchasing the club. I don’t ask him for much and he doesn’t tell. This is one thing we did speak about though.

To be fair though, most people don't have the inside knowledge that you do so not sure why you were getting hacked off at people when they quote £30m as most will get their information from the media, hence why the general consensus is that we paid £30m.
