Safe to say there has been a fair bit of doom and gloom the last week or so with all the talk of outgoings of key players, having to move players out before bringing any in, rumors that financially we aren't in the best shape, so I'm going to try and remain as positive as I can, here goes...

We ended last season strongly, albeit against sides who had not alot to play for, we were back to playing decent football, and have had a relatively good pre season with some really good showings of pressing, attacking football

KDH signed a new long term deal, I have no doubt he will become a massive player for us this season, you can see how much it means to him playing for the club he supports and loves, maybe a player who we build the team around in the next year or 2

Daka having a good goalscoring spell in pre season, looks a bit sharper and hungrier, wasn't a disaster last season but I have a feeling he will easily get into double digits for us in the league season to come

Barnes looks like he's taking his game to the next level, looks much more confident when taking on his man and will cause many defences serious problems when up against him, another player who I can see having a very good goal and assist ratio

Madders and Wesley may well make moves but the most important thing is they are still our players, we hold the cards regarding deals, if we were in that much of a mess financially as the media are stating we would have accepted the 2nd offer for Madders, Fofana is a bit of an odd one, god knows what's going to happen with that

Vardy, well we know what we can expect, his pace may be declining slightly but should he stay fit, can easily contend for the golden boot again

Granted every man and his dog in the media are writing us off because of the lack of ins and outs so far, but should we keep everyone injury free or to a minimum, I don't see any reason why we can't have a decent season, push for top 7-8 and have another good cup run

I'm trying to remain optimistic and inject some positivity within the forum, any other takers? 🤣

I’m actually positive about Wes possibly going. If he stays, awesome, but we didn’t see the best he had to offer last year and 1 man does not sort out a defence. Getting top cash for him now is a no brainer. Chelsea are desperate. Push them as high as they can go.

If Madders stays he is going to be an animal. But again, if he goes the money will be good and I recall most wanted him gone for the first half of last season. We’ve played well without Madders before and can do again.

Kasper going is an opportunity. Cant wait to see Iversen push Ward into the no 2 spot.

KDH will have a career defining season. He is going to be special. Daka is going to explode on the scene. Vardy will still get a good lump of goals. Barnes will be top drawer. I think Soumare will also show his pre season form into the season too. Maybe we will see Praet kicking into gear.

im all positive. But then, I’ve been on the lash since 12 in the Provence sunshine.

I really want to be positive, in fact for a good moment i was.

But there’s always this sinking feeling that we are wasting or have already wasted  the best position the club has ever been in.

We really could have stamped our place as that 7th club but it feels like due to some horrible decision making weve stepped backwards and the future is only going to get harder.

This season is genuinely make or break for us because we genuinely need to make europe to have any chance of keeping the young talent we have at the club and pushing forward again.

Another mid table inconsistent season and we will be staring at a very daunting task next summer of replacing another 4/5 first team players. Some might think that’s okay and that a rebuild is good… but it’s not when you’ve already pushed as high as a club like us can expect. We wanted to slowly improve not start again from scratch.

We have the potential for a good season with the playing staff available that’s not in doubt. It’s more the anxious feeling of we need the success now to maintain our place as one of the best of the rest

I also think the person steering the ship, is simply the wrong man

All the negativity can be traced back to the really poor summer window spend last year. That has led to no spend this year, which means two poor transfer seasons. That has a compound effect as players age, their contracts wind down and the openings to bring in new players dwindles. Two bad transfer seasons is bad news, whichever way you want or wish to look at it.

Not much to speculate about 'til the window shuts.

If we stay intact (barring Schmeichel / Tmans) then what is everyone worrying about.

We have a fantastic squad and haven't had the opportunity to see what a fit group is capable of.

Sick of the dreary shit on here.

Just support the team, new season fresh start, bin off all the negativity. Football's back, nearly, so just support the team, the manager, the owners, the backroom staff even the tea lady. Life's too short, enjoy it.

I cba to be overly negative at the moment. I'm not sure what good it will do. Football is often unpredictable. Let's wait and see what happens.

if it doesn’t make you smile, you cant be human.

Miss the patterned pitches too.

That was the night when I believed we were going to win the league. There was also a passage of play where we absolutely destroyed them and ended with what should have been a penatly for a trip on Okazaki I think it was, don’t suppose there’s a clip of that out there.

The positive I’m taking is that a lot of people are writing us off, not a great deal is expected of us. Let them write us off, and we’ll happily go under the radar.
