We've still got a lot of hard work to do and points to get before I'm convinced. Our four wins have come against sides around or below us, none of which are particularly good. 

 

We certainly played well at times yesterday and gave our best performance to date this season. But had that Iwobi shot gone in early on, I think we'd have struggled for the win. 

 

The defence is much better marshalled thanks to Faes, which has helped Ward's confidence. That is the biggest factor in the upturn. Maddison and Tielemans are playing well again too.  But for me, still a lot more needed before saying it's been turned round.

Yeah, but looking at the Premier League this season, on the quality level, "sides around and below us" describe over half the league. Right now, we are confident, which is half the battle. The World Cup break counldn't have come at a worse time. After seeing what an awful Euro campaign did to Cags, I am horrified about what a disappointing WC could do to our Belgians!

We’ll see how we start playing after the World Cup. Rodgers having 4 weeks to get in his own head is not ideal and we could see the return of everyones favourite sideways style of play.

We've beaten Forest, Leeds, Wolves and Everton. Not exactly the greatest bunch of teams, but still important wins, and gotta respect the way we swept aside Wolves and Forest. And we comfortably beat Leeds and Everton. If we beat West Ham I'll start to be hopeful again.

Yeah, these matches are the kind of games that we would lose when we have had better season pushing the top 4.
