Most away grounds in this country don't have a singing block next to the home fans. 

 

What would be the point in UFS going next to the home fans yesterday? Absolutely zero. Most UFS guys left L1 10 years ago because they got bored of flicking the Vs at 500 Barnsley fans.

It's not to do with giving it to the away fans, it's more that's generally where the singers are going to congregate naturally At least there would be a mix of both if the UFS boys were in there too

I would much rather an OAP at the game than a pissed up moron who fell down six rows almost crushing my 10 year old son. I know, fancy taking a 10 year old to a g football match, who, at that age probably doesn't have the lung capacity to add a full contribution to the noise required to meet the definition of a 'great away end'....

Not once has my afternoon been soured by an oldiwonk.

I agree. I wish the younger pissed up/coked up noisy morons would stay away all together.

My kids hate loud noise and sometimes get scared if it’s too noisy.

Rising from the seat and a short blast of applause is more than adequate to show one’s appreciation when a goal is scored.

Straight back down though as I don’t like to miss the players jogging back to the centre circle.

If you like going to away matches because it's nice and peaceful, and you can sit there in silence, or maybe have a quiet chat with someone .......... wouldn't you get really annoyed with drunk/coke-up idiots being a nuisance, fans standing up rather than sitting down, shouting and trying to make lots of noise, making rude gestures towards the home fans, swearing a lot 'f' and 'c' words, etc etc.

 

Wouldn't that annoy you so much, that just give up and settle for going to home matches, where you can enjoy yourself in peace and quiet?   And just leave away matches to everyone else who wants to behave like noisy nuisances?

I'm very much similar to @HighPeakFox in that I turn 53 in December (so the old fart brigade)

 

I love to sing at the games and always have done, usually at the cost of my voice for a couple of days after being very horse etc 

 

I contribute financially to the UFS regarding Tifos etc (not much but what I can when I can) and will live breath love and be passionate about this club until my dyeing breath.

 

There are plenty of mutes at games of all ages and plenty who sing of all ages so generally I think the whole problem has **** all to do with age. 
 

For what it's worth obviously your most vocal fans tend to be the sort who go to away games (but not always clearly) - I do think like most that our home atmosphere could be better, but there again I think that has mainly because we have been dogshit as a team for 2 years. 
 

This season has started better and I brought my 17 year old son for only his second Leicester game (at home v Cardiff) and he loved it - he lives in the North West between Manchester and Liverpool and has always been a Man City fan but Leicester as his 2nd team because of me. 
 

He joined in with lots of the singing too (in fairness without knowing many of the songs) as I've impressed on him that Leicester is in his blood and passion at the footy is what it's all about.

 

Each to their own generally and everyone has a right to an opinion or even if they want to sing and shout at footy or not. For me the atmosphere is a big part (usually) of why I enjoy games - and maybe the result a bit too 🤔😂

Yeah another benefit of rail seating is that it would end the forced "limbs" fad that's become the sole reason a lot of "lads" go to away games.

Your now opening a can of worms by mentioning the L word.. a word that I’ve had so many disagreements with people.. many of our fanbase have complained about the lack of action behind the goals and it’s not vocal support, it’s because there’s no limbs.. an action that many also want Leicester fans to have.. 

 

when a team scores it doesn’t make you a bigger supporter if you go crowd surfing down 4 rows  i see videos on social media and you see people on their backs or head first down the row in front with their arse in the air.. Sorry I don’t get it.. it’s these type of videos which are getting in the heads of the younger groups wanting the same thing.

I'm in the middle ground tbf. I would agree that the majority of our goal celebrations are totally lifeless, it's closer to a rugby crowd celebrating a try imo. But I also really don't like the forced celebrations for likes on Instagram.

Agreed. What annoys me is when we score a big goal and the Kop behind the goal can barely be arsed to stand up.

Yep, we have the worst ends around as far as behind the goals is concerned.  Its a bit embarrassing when you see it on TV everyone sat down and not even getting up when we've scored, cant think of another stadium like that?.

This might be controversial but I couldn't believe it when we won the prem and no pitch invasion. Every other club seems to invade the pitch for winning a league or Cup certainly in the divisions below the prem. However given what an achievement that surprised me.

Invade Stamford Bridge? If you mean the Everton game there was a trophy presentation straight after and it just wouldn't have been the same if it was already planned before the game to run on. It's got to be in the moment if it's going to happen.
