As a side note everybody should go to the San Siro at some point if they can. Been meaning to do it a while and it lived up to the hype. Fantastic place to watch football even if my view was a bit crap.

We did the tour in 2015 as there wasn't a game on during our time there. That was pretty impressive itself seeing as it was for two big clubs. I'd love to get a game in one day.

I genuinely reckon you could get ticket and flight close to what some pay for a one off City home game as well, or the same cost of a boring away day.

You could, but part of the buzz is watching and supporting a team you care about, and are invested in.

I couldn’t give a shit as to how AC/Inter Milan do.

I get going for an experience. I’ve always wanted to go to the yellow wall. But these people that try and visit as many stadiums and watch as many teams as possible.. I don’t get it.

Yeah easily, I got tickets for €10 three years ago and even they were not the cheapest. This was for pretty much a title deciding game.

Flights to the out of town airport are usually very cheap too. £9 for the flight home we got from memory.

Logically true. To someone that tries to go to loads of grounds, it's something fun, different and a change. LCFC will always be no.1 of course.

I guess it's like me not understanding why people spend so much money going to Tenerife or Santorini or Palma or any of these godforsaken beach resorts year after year after year.

Familiarity breeds contempt for people like me, others can't handle change and need a set routine. Fair enough.

A large majority of Leicester people do come across very dour and a bit moany in general tbf lol

Certainly the most self deprecating football forum I have ever seen. Even if it's completely deluded about their self worth on other forums, at least there's some pride.

that's the thing though. if any other club (apart from bmouth and a few others etc) won and have been through what we have, they would be absolutely up for it every week especially considering they've had a taste of success. Ours has gone the other way though, people have basically given up now we've done that

And how do you know that?

Whenever I hear any pundits talk about our ground they praise the atmosphere or at least never say anything like the shit you see in here. Is it perfect? Absolutely not. In comparison to modern standards and definitely modern stadiums it's absolutely fine. I'm glad we have Union FS trying to do all they can and I hope it gets a lot better but we need to be a bit realistic too.

Even these so called amazing English grounds for atmosphere aren't anything like noisy for 90 minutes. The more renowned ones sing at the start and are dead for most the game.

On the away fans too, talking up the likes of Derby and Forest away support? Wasn't so long ago they were bringing 1,000 fans to our ground and standing there for 90 minutes. Completely bollocks that they have more passion than our fans.

It's awful. One of the worst in the league. Club don't do anything to help make it better. We have clappers. Average age of our fan base is probably 60+. We have light and fire shows. And again, we have clappers.

The ones that constantly get voted the best in the league - Anfield, St James Park, Shitty Ground? All terrible last time we visited were they not?

Why does it matter if everyone else is shit, we should be too?

Trust me, i'm not blaming the older fans at all. But because of the clubs extreme policies and reluctance to allow younger fans to get in, it's a product of that. Just making the point that because of that, we seem to have an aging fanbase which the club will regret eventually too when the younger generation are not interested.

Fair enough mate.  I'm in agreement that more needs to be done to attract younger fans and the next generation .

Genuinely easy to sort. Ticket was about £35ish and I only decided to go about a fortnight ago. Got a return flight for £90.

Turin train return was about £73 but that was my own fault for leaving it to the day and having to get the fast train due to having a flight that night - was doable for £25ish alternatively.

I just think it's a bit naive to suggest that younger people equals better atmosphere. Have we not seen the concourse atmosphere crew, who give it large down in the stadium, but as soon as the game starts they're nowhere to be found?

The lack of atmosphere is a collective effort and it's an easy get out to say bringing the young uns in will solve the problem.

Ones exciting and new. The other is stale and increasingly sterile.

I'm responding to the other posts that are quite indicative of Foxestalk in general that everyone else is amazing and we are shit at everything. There's loads of posts about how great other teams support is and I don't witness it anywhere?

What was the last great home support we all seen as an away fan?

It is bad in this country in general. Though I do think we are one of the worst as well. So it's not a strong position.

Like I said on the other page, I heard 200 Cagliari fans in a genuinely awful away end arrangement more than I hear the majority of away fans at Leicester. This is proof that the fans just aren't making atmosphere.

Leeds gave it large after scoring as it was a cup final for them.
