Might be a silly question.

Does anyone think having this top of the range training ground might have even hurt us more?

Possibly some mentality of not having to work as hard because they're in some fancy new facilities that do the work for you?

Probably not correlated but I'd be interested to know since they started there if our results also dropped off compared to before.

It's the hunger in paradise dilemma, these players probably think they've done all they can here, they're cushy in a world class training ground on massive contracts. What have they got to prove in their minds? How do you possibly motivate them to climb the next mountain?

Ridiculous the owners are getting any votes here.

The term 'Owner(s)' is a little misleading as some, out of respect or force of habit think of that as Top & Vichai who, i am sure no one would say a bad word about.

The term should be 'Owner', in the respect of it now being Top, who, quite frankly, hasn't got a clue and it's only through the legacy of his dad that anyone would be the slightest bit emotional if ever he did sell up.

I still believe the only reason we still have Rodgers, and most of the inept, championship level squad, is because we have no money thanks to Top.

They are both to blame, the board for continuing to entrust the future of the club to people who are patently not up to it and Rodgers for not only his awful management of the squad but also for his part - even if his direct involvement is minimal, we have to assume Congerton came in on his recommendation - in bringing in so much dross. In terms of the immediate priority of not getting relegated then clearly Rodgers needs to be first out the door to try and inject some much-needed life and positivity into the team and the club as a whole. It reminds me of late-period Solskjaer at Man Utd in that yes, there are definitely big issues at the club that go beyond him, but there's no reason that should distract us from the fact that he is failing to do his job to a level even approaching satisfactory while loudly absolving himself of responsibility to anyone who'll listen.

Long term though there obviously need to be a number of changes higher up, first and foremost a director of football who is actually qualified for the role beyond simply having been at the club a long time and having once convinced Man Utd to overpay for a player (which, by the way, is hardly an achievement unique to him). I don't want the owners out as such, nor do I want them to start spunking money left right and centre because I don't think that's the way out - just stop the insane loyalty to underperforming employees and start at least trying to assemble the personnel and systems necessary for us to punch above our weight. We need to take a leaf out of Brentford and Brighton's book and spend smarter rather than bigger, particularly if our owners are serious about self-sustainability.

none of this change of director shite will do anything, when the club cannot compete in the PL because of the influx of £ thats been spent on tranfers in the PL. The owners need to invest more or get out. You cant just cheapskate your way up the table and expect no backlash, we have played this for far too long. BR is a solid manager and all this blame game narrative is unfair, Hes been saying it for a long time, we need a new rotation of players, Giving Marc albrighton a new contract for example, waste of money im sorry, hes been great for us but sometimes you gotta ask yourselves wtf are they doing, How about the indidi or the other young blood stars we have getitng nerw contracts? BUT we give an old player thats getitng towards his retirement phase a new one... wtf are the overheads at this club doing running contracts down like this. A PL club thats being tight will ultimately have the same outcome like Burnley. a bag of shite. Owners need to sell or invest, end of, all this blaming the manager will never solve the main problem that most seem to wanna mask cause the owners give out free drink and donuts once a month, they arnt doing this out of kindness, they doing it to control the narrative and their image, its a clever tactic.  This mess has been clear to see for years and im glad people are starting to realise the owners should take the responsibility, instead of a manager thats trying his best to be keep his job, cause the board never suffer any real consequence.

They're the ones letting this happen. They could clear their names just like that, yet choose not to.

Relegation and 5-10 years out of the premier league is looking more likely right now!

I'm not sure it would take 5-10 years. Parachute payments are a big thing, which is why more and more often teams that go down come back up again quickly. See Watford, Norwich and Burnley this year.

Relegation is a real possibility. When literally every other team strengthens and we go the over way you are asking for trouble.

.. the parachute payment will always be a buffer between clubs fighting to get out of the Championship and the relegated clubs from the Premier league!!!

I meant just the fact that if we go down we've got:

- 6 players out of contract leaving for free Summer 2023

- Approx 10 players out of contract in 2024 who would look to leave or be sold at reduced prices

- Best players like Maddison, Barnes, Nacho, Daka who would look to leave

- So you're really talking about 80-90% of the squad needing overhauling in the space of 1 window or so - when we've not shown great recruitment over the last couple of years

- Hugely maxed out wage bill

- Stadium expansion costly and unnecessary and put on back burner?

- New manager

It's just a LOT of change all at once, which is often never a good thing for a football club

Like your POV,and actually agree with most...

I do believe though, that like some other Businesses KP has been heavily taking hits through and after Corona. They may need also some time & patience to recover...and not let's forget their investments towards the city of Leicester...

So for me Both the owners & Manager deserve some slack...& players need to take more responsibility...because it's their individual performances that is causing our dire presentation..They are tredding over that whitewash onto the "field of play"...

Though now this slack for Rodgers, takes some convincing through this season....Tactically giving in to the opposition,by not having his strongest group ( front 4-6) taking the front foot and being offensive...

We should play with front 2, and not waste Barnes,in nomans-land.

Nacho-Daka, Nacho-Vardy...decide !!

With the other has deffo 65-70 minute sub.

In the end, let's not muddy the waters with 20 topics looking for blame...

Ultimately it is the manager..!!!

Fans don't do social-science,we are bothered what happens on the football pitch...performance-top-priority,with some individual/group presentation, results nice but not top priority..! So manager...

FT has weired fans...I couldn't give a flying fk,what a manager says, one week & totally different the other..

Burning players, throwing them under the bus, questioning attitudes, then protecting them...Ferguson/Wenger did it all the time..!!

So you fans looking for no hypocrite Mr God almighty as manager, should look at your posts these last 10 years.

What a manager says in statements or pre/post match interviews is/has totally irrelevant(ce)

Rodgers strong point,he never used injuries over 3 seasons, as an excuse,in fact spent months telling everyone it's HIS job to organise those that are available..where every single top 6-8 managers of any particular season, with at least 22 top international players or new stars on the block, dived in about their injury woes...

Rodgers talking about lack of investment..no matter what reason...Is actually true.

Rodgers stubbornes...stubbornes is the characteristic that makes a manager.

Know-all,better manager fans, quite pathetic really, just as bad the manager they criticise...

Any words lambasting on  any managers media or up front interviews exchanges is no platform to begin agendas, campaigns,or character assignation...

Searching for the whys..:dunno:

Sport has its/their own illogical rules..

Messi had 2 quite poor seasons & a 3rd in the middle of his career,Ronaldo towards the end of his career...

Vardy had all his thrown together when people said it's his worse & best periods...Leicester Tigers a 100 yr giant who's stable trees have timbered...

Leicester city's moment problems won't be discovered or opened until 3-10 years time ( then only part)..

Is there a new successful era around the corner,or is Rodgers successfull now failing tenure a catalyste which plummits us out of the top 2 divisions..

With no single 10 game period left to remember for our grandkids...

Now & this moment...Rodgers is at the forefront..I can't remember over 70 years ,who our owners were in a particular year..except title & cup year.

I can list them when pushed, but no bad,or fond memory.!! But managers!! ,branded into my brain with all motherboard graphics...

So Rodgers management responsibility for gameday performances are his.

He as of late as failed,to turn one football relevant factor, major or minimal into our favour...performance or result...It is now not a finical but a dangerous period for the club, and Rodgers is not delivering since ( my boundaries) this season. His carte blanche, has too many stained areas, white is now no found in options.

We could be overing 18th-15 th position,I wouldn't care if we were putting in performances & shifts.

Newcastle league loss I could take, but again this QF loss performance again lacking in anything called football...

Again his statements over long periods, totally irrelevant...FT fans should drop that arrogant ,wasted rhetoric,it means nothing, other than projecting own egoistic frustration..

Rodgers mojo and tactical nous effecting team performance is in tatters...that's what counts..!!..

But every gameday he and our players will get a new hope and a prayer of dreams, until he's gone or he turns it.!

Actions, not words are the strength or failings of a football manager.

Owners have other things they have to bring ride out, or sometimes just sit upon..their luxury that the manager doesn't have.

The owners sadly as much as they've done for us, for not only employing a manager who been on holiday mode for the past few years but the wrong people to run the club, too much faith in the director of football, allowing Rodgers to change our previous working setup by insisting Congerton joined us too, whoever has orchastrated the matchday as it is now has alongside the football on show put many fans off going. Successful owners should see its really turned for the worse and continues to over a long period.

We're at the stage where even a manager change is not enough, too many areas are failing at the club at the same time.

In any business, if the majority shareholders or owners do not back the management team, they are [email protected] lived the dream and were told by the owners that more would be possible, but they have not put there money or have wasted it (training ground, crap signings, overpaid players).

Top has lost interest

Top is not as competent as Vichai, bless his soul,

Top and KP group are f@cked financially due to Covid
