12,000 left at the minute

Not sure what number block Blackburn starting selling on but they're currently on M2, assuming they started on M4 and worked round they're up to about 2.5/3k.

So about 17k home tickets sold so far. To be honest given the pricing and timing it's not that bad!

Blackburn got the usual 3,300ish allocation (normal PL). Initially they are only selling 2,300 odd of that which means block M1 is not on sale to them (whenever teams return tickets we get that block for ourselves).

So your number of 17k should be bang on for home fans only. Blackburn will bring around 2k.

I think a total attendance of 25k is about as good as it'll get on the night.

Justified given how many are still for sale. Club know they've got it wrong as well, haven't seen tickets pushed this hard for a good while.

Over 8k tickets unsold. Rudimentary logic says 24k seats sold at an average of £22.50 (yes kids tickets, but also hospitality balancing out) - £540k. Just lowering to £15 STH/M and £20 general sale, assuming average of £17.50 would bring in a sell out at £560k.

Massive miss and fans are quite rightfully voting with their feet.

Yeh agreed. I think 24/25k is about right. Highly unlikely it would have sold out if they took a fiver off the price. The years we played Man City in the QF of the cup years in a row, I swear that was about £12 a ticket and it never sold out. Of course for a much more attractive game and when people had more money

27,000 went to the birmingham fa cup 5th round just before everyone shut down for covid..a few differing factors but broadly the same situation (round, championship opposition etc). Anybody know what the prices were for that?

Age bands STHs & Members General Sale
Adults  £20 £25
Senior 65+ £15 £20
Under 22 £15 £20
Under 18 £8 £10
Under 16 £5 £8

They'll never change the pricing strategy whilst they still manage to sell the amount we have.

23000 at an average of £20 is £460k.

30000 at an average of £10 is £300k.

Only thing that would bring about change is if the attendance from us tonight was more around the 15k mark.

My bad. Was thinking of the 2017/18 one

To be fair the 18/19 featured during prime Puel ball, with only wins over Cardiff and Watford in the two months leading up to the fixture, losing the two games prior, on the back of lacklustre 0-0 results in the previous two rounds. I think fans were fed up of watching the dirge on display and was the second season in a row playing them in the quarter final, many fans saw the game as a foregone conclusion.
