Maybe it will be match commentators next! The BBC should offer the job to Tory MP's, LIke politicans of every flavour they adore he sound of their own voice and the chance to be centre of attention is just irresistible to the scumbags. Besides which the attempt would be utterly hilarious.

Super_horns Posted 10 March 2023 Posted 10 March 2023 (edited) Apparently the commentators might go on strike too but guess they would have a world feed option. Edited 10 March 2023 by Super_horns

Maybe if you used an occasional full stop she'd listen.

LestahGOAT Posted 10 March 2023 Posted 10 March 2023 The BBC's idea of "impartiality" is sticking someone like the head of the IMF, or EMA, CBI or WTO in the same studio as an anti vax Tufton Street 900 million immigrants are coming to live in your street right wing goon who thinks the world is ran by lizards, and because there is one of each in the studio they represent 50% of the population each and their views are as sound as each others. 1 1
MaidstoneFox Posted 10 March 2023 Posted 10 March 2023 Sir David Attenborough, Gary Lineker, they are basically after good Leicester people. The Beeb will ban all future screenings of The Elephant Man next. 3
MalletFox Posted 10 March 2023 Posted 10 March 2023 What absolute sicko’s are watching MOTD in here anyway? We lose every week!!!! 2 1
Popular Post Saxondale Posted 10 March 2023 Popular Post Posted 10 March 2023 I’m delighted the other presenters stood firm with Lineker. The BBC have ****ed it. They’re barely even pretending to be anything other than Conservative Party propagandists these days. I have a genuine fear that public service broadcasting is dead forever. We allowed evil forced to break the system while we weren’t paying attention. **** Boris Johnson, **** Robbie Gibb, **** Richard Sharp and **** the rest of them. Cultural and societal vandals. 10
Vacamion Posted 10 March 2023 Posted 10 March 2023 If the commentators and players support him (I think they will), I think the Beeb will end up backing down. Frankly, after all those goals he scored for Leicester and England, and after talking about crisps on the telly in a Leicester accent, and after being a massively prominent Leicester fan in the public eye, he could have advocated the cruel death of puppies in food processors and I'd have probably still loved him. As it is, he happens to have been spot on this week, as he often is, and the BBC are arses. 4

However, we are currently in an economic rut with many feeling disenchanted with the state of the nation. This is every bit like Cummings 'take back control' nonsense, appealing to those who are struggling by blaming it on the 'other' when really the blame lies with our own political masters. It's been going on for years. It's not those who wield power and hoard wealth that are the problem, it's some poor sod fleeing war or persecution that's to blame for everything. It's the nurses. It's the train drivers. Look, look anywhere but at the people that run the bloody joint. Now that Brexit has demonstrably made everything worse, despite the right wingers promises, there must be new scapegoats. This is very fertile ground for the far right and this is the thin end of the wedge. It's very dangerous to think that as a country we can't slide into the sort of far right blackhole that other European countries have. 5 2
