Now BR is gone, what is our best eleven currently and without injuries?

It's been that long since we've considered things in these terms due a lot of negative factors that I genuinely dont know but I'm interested to see what others think.

Currently:

Iversen

Ricardo

Söyuncu

Souttar

Kristiansen

Mendy

KDH

Barnes

Maddison

Tete

Iheanacho

Without injuries:

Iversen

Justin

Söyuncu

Souttar

Kristiansen

Mendy

Tielemans

Barnes

Maddison

Ricardo

Iheanacho

I would be tempted to push Ricardo up the pitch (when Justin is back) as I am staying to think that Tete is nowhere near good enough.

I also think that it’s imperative for Mendy to start. I really like Ndidi, but in terms of regression, he is right up there.

Think it’s hard to say, as it can be current form or what they are capable of.

Ndidi and Soyuncu at their best are major starters.

Same with Vardy, it will be interesting to know if he is indeed shot or becoming second and third place starter effected his desire to perform for Rodgers

I thought that. People putting Mendy in instead of Ndidi? No way, injury free Ndidi all day long. And let's see what Vardy can do in a 44 F ing 2.

Na. Not a chance. Ndidi 100 times out of 100, if fully fit and free to play his game. If that's the case Mendy doesn't even get a look in, as has been the case with those before Brendan.

Mendy has played well but he hasn't been a patch on what we know Ndidi can do.

Ndidi was at the top of all DMs in Europe when free to play, Mendy isn't anywhere near Ndidi.

The absolute power of wishful thinking. It's staggering how it can defy all.logic.

The lad has been 1/10 for every game except Villa. Maybe. 2/10 v Blackburn - point extra for a fine crossfield.pass.

And yet 2 posters already consider him in our best xi.

Deary me.

3-5-2  for me

-----------------------------------iversen-------------------------------------

----------faes--------------souttar------------------soyenchu

ricardo------------------------------------------------------------------christiansen

------------------------ndid-------------------kdh---------------------

---------------------------------madders--------------------------------------

-------------------nacho---------------------vardy

go old school tell ndidi to do what he does best in break up play and short pass to someone who can pass

nacho and vards always play well together and get vardy back to playing on the shoulder down the middle and on the counter

Ndidi that cant pass a ball 5 yards to his team mate? This isnt 2020, Ndidi is gash. His main strengths were his athleticism and his tackling, bloke has absolutley zero athleticism whatsoever anymore. I generally thought he was in his 30s now from watching him run but was shocked to see hes 26

Fwiw, in terms of our way out of this, e have to make some compromises. Madders to loosely play Rightish side behind a striker.

Iversen

Castagne

Kristensen

Faes

Souttar

Wilf

Mendy

Ricky, Madders, Barnes

Kels

KDH, Praet, Vards, Daka to game change off bench if required.

Soumare, Tete, Ward all sent on gardening leave to avoid even putting them on bench

That would be a good side.

Ndidi has been absolute tosh for a long time now and doesn’t look the same player from two years ago. Mendy on the other hand looks a much more solid option that seems to have more to his game. Mendy all day for me.

12 months ago Vardy & Ndidi would make the team but they've been so out of form they don't get a look in.

Dunno why I'm getting so worked up with this thread.

Plenty dropping Wout Faes. Did anybody see how many blocks he had to put in at Palace? See the reports on how good he was for Belgium? ...

I know it's a game of opinions etc but the amount of people who know next to zero about the game is astonishing.

                   Iversen

Castagne Souttar Faes Kristiansen

        Mendy    Tielemans

Ricardo      Maddison       Barnes

                     Vardy

Free flowing team where everyone is comfortable on the ball (minus Iversen but Ward can jog on), Full backs over lapping and Tielemans pulling the strings knocking balls into the channels. Plenty of pace on wings for a counter attack aswell
